I recently visited a restaurant that left me with mixed feelings. On one hand, the pancakes were definitely a standout dish - they were fluffy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of syrup. I thoroughly enjoyed them and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good breakfast option.
That being said, while the main dishes were good, I thought they were a bit overpriced for what they were. I expected a bit more in terms of portion size and overall presentation given the price point. While the quality was there, I don't think it was quite enough to justify the cost.
On a positive note, the restaurant itself had a cozy and relaxed atmosphere that made for a pleasant dining experience. It was clear that they put effort into creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for their customers.
All things considered, I'm not entirely sure if I would recommend this place. While the pancakes were definitely a highlight, the high prices and somewhat average main courses left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. If you're in the area and looking for a cozy spot for breakfast, it might be worth checking out - but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to...
Read moreI came here as my friend's recommendation. The place was very busy cause it was during lunch time and they were offering 20% discount during soft opening so it was very noisy. It was quite of a disappointment for me and my business partners. The price is higher than what the service offering. Staffs are very young, univeristy kids think, wandering around, chatting and not really helpful. Food was served after 25 minutes which was quite long. I ordered broken rice for myself. It tasted quite good, the pork was tender and flavourful. However they put it in a bowl which made it difficult to use knife and fork to cut the pork. And it is pricy too. 200k before VAT and service for a broken rice bowl is quite crazy. The god mother big breakfast was so so. Toast was ok but it was 150k and there was no bacon or salmon as topping so you have to note that it only included smashed avocado and poach eggs. In terms of drinks, coffee was fine, but smoothies were not good (tasteless). It's good that they can fill the place during soft opening but they have to consider their pricing and service to remain a good...
Read moreWent to Godmother on a weekend morning with a couple friends. I was immediately entranced by the green and peach, calming and high end vibe. There were so many interesting options in the menu and I could already see myself revisiting again someday. The food looked very presentable, but the taste was quite disappointing. The bacon felt a tad overcooked, it lacked moisture, and had a bit of a burned flavour. I could barely finish the pancakes because it tasted dry. The toppings were delicious though! And it added fun splash of colour to the stack of pancakes. The matcha latte was good and decorated with foam of a seahorse. The kombucha tea seemed to be liked by my friends! However the melon drink was very disappointing. Although I love watermelon, mint, and kumquats, it seemed to be very heavy on mint (to the point I could barely taste the watermelon). I offered it to my friends who tried to understand how it could taste like it did with the ingredients listed. Other than that, servers were friendly, food was served quickly, the bright space is calming, but the food was...
