Japanit matcha &coffee house — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I came to this place every day for three weeks and always ordered a hojicha without sugar due to a health condition. Today, I made the mistake of forgetting to mention it — and was served an extremely sweet hojicha, far sweeter than any usual preparation.

When I kindly asked if it could be replaced, I was told no — with no flexibility or understanding shown, despite being a regular customer. I had to leave the drink behind and walk away without anything.

I’m genuinely disappointed by the lack of care and attention to customer needs. Given that hojicha is traditionally served without sugar, it should not come pre-sweetened by default — or at the very least, this should be clearly stated. Adding that much sugar to a drink like this without warning is not only unusual but potentially harmful for people with dietary restrictions.
