KFC Lê Lai — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Just a while ago, at around 6: 15 pm I approached the counter to order food. The staff- one of the 2 females at the counter, leaner in body built, short- as I said I wanted to order food at the counter, was very sour in facial expression, with very high tone to respond: : " We don't take orders here" . When I asked why she repeated her response again in a very high tone and looking very impatiently as she reiterated . I of course felt very bad because she was VERY IMPOLITE. I raised my voice too and told her attitude is not proper and that she should not be at the counter...that she she should have responded with low tone and should have instead paraphrased nicely her words instead of seemingly shooing me away; instead of directing me to the food ordering machine stands.

As I asked for the manager - bearing the name plate PHAN THE THIEN...The manager immediately asked for an apology, and let the staff face me out of the counter. Instead of humbling herself, the staff raised her voice again and turned her back covering her name tag as I tried to look and asked. The manager continued to ask sorry but the staff was even too rude to her manager as she stepped out to the kitchen without admitting her very improper attitude.

VERY IMPOLITE indeed.

Food service staff must be trained how to communicate properly to customers in a nice way....

Not really sure what I was expecting to be honest. Food  | I'm in Vietnam but I wanted a western break from Pho and noodle galore. Went and got a chicken fillet burger, fries and a piece of chicken. Genuinely can't believe the size of the chicken piece, it was like a kid portion as you'll see in the picture. The burger was alright and there was a normal kfc set of fries. Nothing compared to the western kfc though. Service  | They aren't particularly quick, in fact I sat waiting for 10-15 minutes, which is typical for a KFC to be honest. But I'd expected better from the service you typically get in South East Asia. They were nice though, smiley and happy so that's a plus. Atmosphere  | Hardly relevant, its a fast food chain, its fairly clean, and its just people getting a quick bite. You come for fast food not a vibe. In Asia its not half bad, compared to the western world,...

The store are extremely reluctant to accept payment unless it's done by kiosk however the kiosks do no accept cash and they are dirty and covered in greasy finger prints.

The staff at 1st rudely direct you to the dirty kiosks but if you are persistent the staff eventually come to input your order properly as should be done with correct customer service.

This is terrible customer service, both the kiosks and a dedicated customer order point should be available where people can be confidently served by a real human being with a good level of customer service skills. I used to love this location but now I feel nervous when I visit as staff are often dismissive and rude refusing to accept orders by lying and saying they can no longer input them manually when I fact it only take a then less than a minute they just...
