Without the free flow wine and beer I think this would be a one star rating probably. It's a very expensive buffet and it just doesn't deliver that experience. The atmosphere is okay, just okay. The food in my opinion was not too good, even if the price had been lower. I left feeling full, but not satisfied. The variety was also disappointing and lacking. In addition to poor atmosphere and food quality, there were also many small things that added up to be an overall poor experience. Food trays were regularly empty and not refilled, meaning the variety that was already lacking was lacking even more; it seems for the price customers pay, the buffet should be able to keep the trays full, very unprofessional. Many items they tell you to return to your table and order with a waitress; that's fine but things like crab and shrimp arrive without the sauce or even a lime and you have to go back to the buffet looking for something. Menus are jumbled and looks like what I could make in 5 min in Microsoft word; very unprofessional and not living up to the high class nature of their image. Crab arrived missing many legs and only had one claw; presentation lacking for somewhere that wants to be high class. This list goes on. If I were staying at the hotel and my meal was a business expense, I might eat here again, but honestly I'm not even sure of that. Simply put there are just better options for places to spend your money. For the same price you can head over to Hoang Yen, which has better food, better variety, better atmosphere, better service, and being in bitexco building a better location. Another great option is D'maris in district 7, location is comparable, food is 3 times better, 3 times the variety, and...
Read moreThe seafood buffet restaurant at the Nikko Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City is renowned not only in the city but throughout Vietnam. I finally had the chance to visit with my girlfriend, and it was an unforgettable experience.
The buffet is famous for its unlimited lobster, crab, and various other seafood options. The lobster, in particular, was the highlight of our meal. We indulged in about ten lobsters each, making it the most I have ever had in one sitting. And this restaurant doesn’t just offer plain boiled lobsters; they have five different preparations: cheese, butter garlic, Singapore sauce, black pepper, and tamarind. Each one was a feast for the senses.
In addition to the lobster and seafood, the buffet features an impressive array of other dishes, including drinks: -red and white wines, soft drink -salads, -steaks, -fried items, -Japanese cuisine, -Vietnamese cuisine. With over fifty different dishes, there was something to satisfy every palate.
The dessert section was equally impressive, offering more than 10-20 types of sweets, which was a delightful surprise.
The price for this lavish experience is VND 1,789,500 per adult. However, if you are a registered member, you can enjoy a 10% discount.
Although the price is quite steep, it is definitely worth it for anyone who wants to indulge in an endless feast of lobster and other seafood delicacies. This buffet is the ultimate choice for seafood lovers looking for an extraordinary...
Read moreWe had our dinner buffet on 12 August 2025. The lobster sashimi served for six people was far from sufficient as we each received only one small slice. Moreover, you can only have the lobster sashimi once, with no chance for a second serving. On a positive note, the salmon sashimi was excellent, very fresh, with a well-balanced mix of lean and fatty parts, and this could be reordered without restriction.
We also ordered crab (both with black pepper and steamed) as well as lobster (steamed and with black pepper). Unfortunately, both the crab and lobster were dry, overcooked, and lacked juiciness, suggesting they might not have been fresh or were previously frozen (I might be wrong though).
The dessert selection was limited and the flavors underwhelming, especially considering the price. In contrast, the grilled wagyu beef section was excellent, though the scallops did not seem fresh. The ice cream section was disappointing as well. The ice cream was soft and melting quickly. On the brighter side, the fruit was fresh and delicious, particularly the rambutan and longan. I had expected this to be one of the top buffets in Saigon, but it did not compare well to other buffets in other countries we enjoyed during our trip. To be honest, I was quite disappointed with the overall food quality. That said, the service was top-notch, and full credit goes to the staff for their professionalism and...
