I discovered this little café during a short 3-day escape to Saigon—a spontaneous getaway. I spotted a small sign and felt curious enough to walk up to the second floor. The staircase felt like a time machine—narrow, charming, and filled with character.
As soon as I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by the staff, all smiling with genuine kindness. The vibe immediately stood out—calm, nostalgic, and beautifully in tune with the café’s vintage theme. Gentle music played in the background, and the space felt peaceful, like a retreat from the city.
What impressed me most was how quiet and respectful the atmosphere was. Guests spoke softly, which made everything feel even more relaxing. I encourage others to do the same—sometimes, tourists forget they’re in a shared space, speaking loudly or acting entitled. That kind of behavior would ruin the balance this café has created.
Although the space between tables is minimal, the seating is surprisingly comfortable. I visited twice, and each time I was surrounded by thoughtful, well-mannered guests, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Now, the food: the Bún Chả is the best I’ve ever had. The flavor and texture still stay with me. The price is absolutely justified by the quality and care put into every detail.
Even though I’ve now returned to Da Nang, I felt compelled to write this review—to thank the owner and staff. Their service, warm smiles, and quiet attentiveness (like refilling water without being asked) truly stood out.
In a world where entitlement often overshadows kindness, I feel incredibly grateful to have found this café by accident.
⸻

Tucked away on Kỳ Con Street, this cozy café captures the charm of Hanoi’s traditional coffee culture right in the heart of the bustling southern metropolis.
The star of the menu is, of course, their egg coffee. Served in a small cup nestled in a bowl of warm water to maintain its temperature, the drink is rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. The velvety egg foam, whipped to perfection, sits atop a bold shot of Vietnamese coffee, creating a delightful contrast of sweetness and bitterness. It’s like sipping on a dessert and coffee at the same time—smooth, indulgent, and satisfying.
Beyond egg coffee, the café also offers other classic Vietnamese drinks like coconut coffee and traditional phin-brewed black coffee. The ambiance is charming, with warm lighting, vintage décor, and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it a great place to unwind.

Read moreA charming little café in the middle of the chaos 😆 – a true oasis to slow down and enjoy.
I visited this place several times during my stays in Ho Chi Minh City and was never disappointed. The atmosphere is calming, the quality of the coffee, juices, and food is consistently excellent.
Regarding the negative reviews about the "3-hour rule" – I don’t understand the complaints. If you're occupying a seat for hours without ordering more than one coffee, you're preventing other guests from enjoying the space. This isn’t a coworking space, and it’s simple: If you want to stay, you have to consume. People who sip a single coffee for 5 hours and keep others from finding a spot have no business being in a café. Don’t complain anonymously on the internet – just find a proper coworking space instead.
Back to the important part: If you're looking for a place to unwind, enjoy good coffee, fresh juices, and delicious food, this is the place for you. Highly...
