Mai Sky Rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Mai Sky is a great place to go for the sunset of Saigon. It’s at the top floor of Mai House Hotel. Beautiful views, comfortable seating, beautiful atmosphere with great lighting as the sun goes down. The best part of this experience is the staff. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Mai Sky several times over the past 2 years since it opened and while I am from Canada and not a regular, the staff immediately remembered me and my husband from a year ago. I was so touched by the thoughtfulness and their friendliness to chat with me and my husband again. To be remembered is such a compliment and these people will not be forgotten as well. I would like to mention Minh, Tien and Thao who all work here with the biggest hearts and beautiful smiles on their faces. They’re always happy to have great conversation and laughs with us while we visit. Minh was kind enough to help us learn some Vietnamese words and ways to converse with locals which will help us on our trip greatly. Thank you for taking the time with us, Minh! I cannot recommend this bar and the hotel itself, enough! Don’t think twice, and go visit this spectacular view and absolutely awesome people. We were staying at the hotel with another couple and toddler. The bar was open and half the floor was closed but plenty of empty tables available on the other half. We ordered 2 beers and 2 cocktails, 20 minutes later we were asked to keep our friends’ toddler from walking around. He was not disrupting any other patrons as there were empty tables. We were then told again that the toddler was disrupting patrons. This was not true, and it upset us so much that we wanted to speak to the manager. The manager came out and attempted to give reasons as to why the toddler was problem. We did not want to give the bar any business after this point as we believed we were treated very poorly as well-paying customers/guests of the hotel.
