Quán Bụi — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Had a very bad experience here as the food came out very slowly. We were 8 people, 3 children and 5 adults. We waited for more than 30 minutes and then the drinks were brought out first when we didn't expect them because the drinks were smoothies and jelly grass in milk, these should have been brought out after the food as they are desserts. We ordered rau muống xào tỏi, hến xúc bánh đa , seafood hot pot, cá kho tộ, braised vegetarian tofu, vegetarian egg soup, stir-fried bok choy with shiitake mushrooms. In these dishes, except seafood hotpot and cá kho to, the rest do not take too much time to cook. But for some reason the food was only brought out more than an hour after we asked to speak to the manager. It was lunch time but the restaurant is very quiet. Besides us, there were only 2 other tables, each with only 2 people and they also didn't have any food on the table. The food doesn't taste bad, but the portions are small and the prices are high. We paid 2.073.000VND for this meal. Braised fish dish has only 2 very small slices of fish. 8 people only give 1 bowl of rice about 3 cups... In general, all the dishes seem to be served to try as sample, not to be full! However, our purpose is not to come for sample!!! We know you serve more foreign tourists, but don't forget your quality of service and business purpose because of that. Each customer needs the same care. We may have chosen the wrong place to eat, but either way, a manager shouldn't ignore a customer's request to see him/her. If only the manager had come out to meet us yesterday, we wouldn't be writing this review today. Keep in mind that: You will not be successful in any business if you do not respect customers. My wife, kid and I were going for an evening walk and wonder across this restaurant and noticed Bo La Lot on their menu at the front. We walked into the restaurant and was greeted by their waitress and they mentioned it will be 5 minutes and she told us this big table on the left by the front street will be ours once the customers pay and she cleans the table up. We were later told the group of 4 older white people that just walked in were getting this table as they have reservation, I was like you made us wait 10 minutes and saying this table was ours. My wife and kid were already sitting at that table while the table was getting cleaned up. I would of given a 1 star but this was just customer service only and not on the food so I left it at 3 stars. Excellent menu variety. Definitely something for everyone. Quite an extensive wine and alcoholist as well. The food was delicious I had the shrimp in the menu it was like with chili and spicy but I asked for it just to be grilled and it was done to perfection. I just didn't expect the heads to still be on. 😮😬 So I definitely had to work to eat my dinner. I also had a passion fruit drink which was good as well. But the prices are reasonable for the Vietnam area as well. This place is recommended by my hotel and it wasn't disappointing. It was a little busy when I got there so the only drop back was I had a flag down the server to take my order and then flag down the server again at the end of my meal just to get my check and pay.
