Absolutely Pho-nomenal! I was skeptical about fusion food, especially when it comes to the most popular traditional Vietnamese dish, pho. However, as a truffle mushroom lover, I had to make a trip to The Yellow Cup to try their Pho in Truffle Mushroom Broth. To my pleasant surprise, the pho truffle did not disappoint. The broth was clear with a few specks of black truffle, barely visible to the naked eye. There was just a hint of truffle, so as not to overwhelm the gentle, familiar aroma of pho. I was floored. The oxtail and brisket were cooked perfectly, with the meat tender enough to fall off the bone yet still retaining a chewy texture. Each bowl contains only one kind of meat, and the cut is small. The meat is so good that the portions seem smaller than they actually are. For the first time ever, I savored all the pho broth from a restaurant. I mustn’t call this broth but...

This is a new place of anh Tan, the owner of The Alley Cocktail Bar.

The venue consist of multiple floors. In the morning, you can come to enjoy a cup of cold brew (my favorite) on the ground floor. And at night, you can go to the second floor to try out a wide range of drinks from beers, cocktails, spirits to wine and sake.

According to anh Tan, this place is a mix between Viet Nam, Japan and Western style. Based on your preferences, you can choose to enjoy different kinds of pairing between food and drink. There will be live music at weekend, and have enough room for you to "feel" the music by dancing with your companions 😉

I really love this place, and I would definitely...

It’s a cute little coffee shop hidden in an alley. The coffee was okay. I got my regular which is an oat latte, I was expecting more since its called “specialty” but the beans was meh and quite expensive for the quality. The pastry wasn’t special too, I was asking what’s inside the bread and he keeps saying its just butter but when I tried it there was a different filling in their that I couldn’t figure out what. Service was impeccable though, staffs were nice.

If you want to get away from the usual loud coffee shops and chain coffee shops in Saigon, this is...
