Aviation Chamber — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I am staying in a little boutique hotel nearby and had passed this place in the day time plenty of times. Tonight I finally had a chance to stop in and I am so glad I did or I would have missed the most incredible hidden gem of a classic cocktail bar. The service: attentive and thoughtful. The cocktails: classic yet inventive and thoroughly explained in the most beautiful handmade menu booklet. Think TikTok style collage scrapbook but way cooler. This place is a hidden gem. It is dark and cosy and cool without being too cool for school. The young owners run the bar and told us about the chemistry and alchemy that goes into their concoctions. Now I know how to infuse rum with the taste of a chocolate brownie (not the other way around). It’s one of those bars where you can tell the barman the sort of thing you like and he will give you something that you didn’t know you liked more. Tried to get there two times: First one I checked the opening hours, but when arrived with my family they were closed. As they said later, they were too exhausted so changed their plan ;) Second time they promised to be open, yet when we arrived they didn't allow to enter with 4 y.o. kid. Not sure about the logics, but this is the first time I saw it for 2 years living in Vietnam. And surely no solution was proposed in any of these cases.
