After visiting Bahn Mi Me In where I had the beef one that was 189k Vietnamese Dong as that was the first Bahn Mi business that came up on search results and it was nearby, I was left with the impression that's the normal price. I noticed only tourists from USA, Canada, Europe and Japan there, but not any local Vietnamese people, as that is way out of price range for most locals. A friend of mine told me the standard price for Bahn Mi is 60k not 189k which is a ripoff and a half. So I did more exploring and found this place Bahn Mi by the bridge in District 4. Though it's not necessarily that nice looking from the outside, it is definately where the locals would go. So I opted to give this place a try, and OMG it far exceeded my expectations and then some! I first ordered the beef one which was significantly more expensive than the others being 59k at time of writing (yet a third of the price of the one from the overpriced Bahn Mi Me In), and believe me it was worth every penny. They use genuine beef steak, pan fry it and cut it into smaller pieces, then put it into the Vietnamese baguette, which had salad of its own. I took alot of pictures for everyone to see. The packaging was well done too, you can tell they are a relatively new business (4 years old at time of writing). When I told the staff the food was incredible, he offered to have me meet the owner, who came down and greeted me, we exchanged dialog, I explained it's flavoured very well and I can't find any faults with it. Once I finished the beef bahn mi, curiosity got the better of me and then I ordered the chicken bahn mi which was 35k. That too was very delicious but second to the beef, as I feel bahn mi goes best with beef due to the toughness of baguette. I would implore anyone and everyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City and is looking for the best Bahn Mi to try this place, even if it means taking a taxi there, it really is worth it and a genuine asset to this brilliant city (and nation). No, I'm not exaggerating, it's a national treasure. I've added pics of both the beef and...

Read moreWe found this banh mi place near our accomodation and came to try. The staff were very nice and we could order in english without any problem. The banh mi was really good and meat portion was very sufficient too! We were so sorry that we accidentally broke their flower pot when the table fell and the staff were very nice about it. They kept saying that it is okay when we said we wanted to pay. She even gave us extra snack, which made us even more guilty. We were very surprised about their service, this is a place that everyone should...
