Burger Joint Saigon — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Absolutely fantastic burgers and onion rings. I'm a bit of a burger snob, and for me, Five Guys and In and Out are the standards against which I measure all others. Well this one comes pretty darn close. I forgot the name of the burger I got, but it was the special one, and it was absolutely fantastic. Perfect taste; perfect level of greasiness (i.e. Not too greasy and not dry) and everything just came together perfectly. The onion rings were some of the best I've ever had,

Really, if Five Guys is a 10, and In and Out a 9.5, this place is a 9. Bravo to the owner.

Two things. One, I wished the onions on the burger were sautéed longer; next time I'll ask up front. And second, the food did take a while to come. Not a big problem since it was so utterly delicious and worth it, but it did take perhaps 25 mins, and the onion rings actually arrived 10 mins after I got my burger. If this place can nail the timing, you'll have a perfect place.

If it was based solely on the burger, it'd be 5 stars, it was delicious. The staff told me it's be a ten minute wait, which I said was no problem, but it turned out to be over half an hour. I was in no rush, so not a big deal, but they served the fries pretty quickly, so they were finished 20 minutes before my burger even arrived. The staff were very friendly, but they did ask if I could move seats to the upstairs after I'd already started eating, to accommodate a family who wanted to sit downstairs. Not the most professional thing. I figured they were just busy (they turned away a couple of people whilst I was there because they had sold out of burgers apparently). Worth it for the burger, maybe I just went on an off night...

Burgers in Saigon can be hit or miss and usually are misses. However this place does it right, they got my order right for starters (medium rare). Good tasting and good sized burger (Saigon burger). Fresh veggies, dry bun, soft and not over cooked bacon. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable about burgers. I ordered the smash burger at first but she came back and said that medium rare would not be possible on this burger which I appreciated that info and changed my order. Will definitely come back. They serve breakfast too which is a plus.
