It was a balmy October evening when my friend and I decided to immerse ourselves in the vibrant energy of Waikiki. Our destination was the renowned Waikiki Bar & Restaurant, nestled on a bustling street famous for its lively atmosphere and diverse crowd. As we approached the venue, the first thing that caught our eye was the enchanting Halloween decorations that adorned the street, casting an inviting glow under the dimming sky.
Upon entering Waikiki Bar & Restaurant, we were greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of local cuisine mingling with the cool ocean breeze. The place was already buzzing, alive with chatter and laughter, as tourists and locals alike gathered to enjoy a memorable night out. We settled into our seats, perfectly positioned to observe the passing panorama of visitors who were, like us, swept up in the festive mood.
What made our evening truly special was the live music serenading the crowd. The talented band played a delightful mix of island classics and contemporary hits, effortlessly bridging generations and cultures. Their soulful tunes resonated through the venue, compelling everyone to sway along to the rhythm.
As we sipped on tiki cocktails, beautifully crafted with exotic flavors, we took in the vibrant scene around us. The Halloween decorations added a whimsical touch to the evening on the many nearby buildings on this famous street. Carved pumpkins with intricate designs and playful ghosts created an enchanting ambiance, blending seamlessly with the street's decor.
Meeting new people is always a highlight at a place like Waikiki Bar & Restaurant. We struck up conversations with fellow patrons, each of us sharing stories of our adventures and discoveries in this tropical paradise. It felt as though everyone was woven into a shared narrative, a tapestry of experiences set against the backdrop of this famous street.
Time seemed to flow differently in that magical setting; as the evening wore on, the live music continued to captivate, and our spirits remained high. It was an unforgettable night, capturing the essence of Waikiki's charm and the magic of an evening spent in good company.
If you find yourself in Waikiki, I highly recommend a visit to this bar and restaurant. Whether you're there for the music, the cocktails, or the people-watching, you're guaranteed an experience that will resonate far beyond...
Read moreSuch a shame to leave a bad review as this place is actually great to look at from the outside. They snatch the menu away when one person has ordered as if the other parties don’t even exist. My boyfriend got his food and finished the meal, mine was nowhere to be seen. I asked when it would come and the waiter just said 2 minutes and walked off as if he couldn’t care less. 20 minutes passed and my boyfriend asked another waitress when it was coming, she said it was on its way over then passed the original waiter and laughed (assuming they were talking about us in Vietnamese). 35 minutes after my boyfriend had finished its meal, we asked the bar staff where it was and they said 3 minutes. At this point after the 3 minutes had passed I had to cancel my meal as I wasn’t going to enjoy the date anyway. They said okay, there was no apology and no offer to compensate for my boyfriends solo meal. We waited around the bar AGAIN to pay for my boyfriends meal and nobody even looked at us, so we turned around and started walking since nobody wanted our money anyway. Of course, the waiter came and tapped me on the shoulder as soon as we gave up. That was literally the only time they cared for our existence all night. Ps I have worked in customer service and waitressing myself and I know how hard it can be, so I am always polite and smiley to waiters etc- this was just the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced and what a shame since the place has so...
Read moreThey need to hire new security straff.
Me and my group booked two tables. When we left, we paid for the table we sat at and then the staff claimed the other table had not been paid for.
The others said the opposite and so we tried to leave. The security literally jumped one of the girls who sat at the other table.
A few of us were sober and trying to fix the situation while the more drunk people simply left. The staff wouldn’t listen and kept claiming we hadn’t paid. When looking at security it turns out that the others had lied and did in fact not pay. So we naturally apologized and paid to fix it.
The problem is that our drunk friends came back when we asked them to come show their receipts and the security grabbed one of our female friend’s arm so hard that it looked like he would leave bruises. I had to pry his fingers off her arm with my nails while one of the guys stepped between us and tried to reason with him to let her go.
Mind you that our female friend was standing there calmly and just waiting for us to fix it after she returned. She wasn’t even on the table which hadn’t paid.
Even though the unpaid table was our fault, the staff definitely should have handled it...
