Pumpkin Restaurant — Restaurant in Hue City

We came as we have seen it on Google maps and tough would be a good option to have a quick bite, the waitress was very friendly and welcoming but unfortunately the service was awful they would go to the kitchen and just don’t return to the table, the food took so long and everything came separately I had two dishes eaten while my partner was still waiting for his food, I have to say that the pumpkin soup was delicious and very recommendable also the juice was freshly made at the moment, the rest of the places was average but the pizza my partner ordered it was just disgusting it was clearly frozen pizza base and with ketchup all over the place and a bunch of tomato chillies and carrots on top with some cheese, the morning glory it was good but the pork with rice noodles it was just not so bad but too many salad leaves and too less pork we were so disappointed and dissatisfied also the kitchen it was filthy when we went to the toilets we seen that it wasn’t cleaned at all when we asked for the bill they were only accepting cash and the bill it was really expensive they didn’t even had a proper receipt it was all written in paper this is definitely a place to avoid. We came here on a bit of a whim, and were delighted. The food is just like you want it to be in a restaurant that has a meal on its menu titled "Food by mom". Everything we had was delicious, and everything tastes like home cooking in the best of ways. Not the most refined, perhaps, but very tasty, full of flavours, and with a warm kind of touch to it. We also had the best eggplant since maybe forever, so if you like ginger, give that a try. Otherwise, as mentioned, the food by mom (which is 5 different kinds of dishes, all of them great) and the pho with tofu. There is also a very nice courtyard to sit in (and space on the inside, if you want to keep cool), and it even came with a cat! First time visiting the restaurant was yesterday on business trip to Hue. Food was so good and the staff was so welcoming - came back today and was not disappointed. Learned mom makes her own spicy sauce and it is VG! Almost forgot- so used to having ice in my beer here, had to ask for it since a lot of tourists prefer no ice

So, back a 3rd time to try something different because it was so good, and was not disappointed.
