If you read the recommendations and think of going to this cafe, DO NOT GO THERE. I cannot recommend this place, and I was a victim of the Google reviews. The recommendations are “boosted” by the “Spring game” - get a drink or dessert for a review with photos. And, of course, people write “excellent” reviews. Fair? Trustworthy? I do not think so. And the quality of the food shows it. What I did not like? - The service: we ordered Shakshuka, Draniki, Sweet pancakes, and drinks. We got the food in a following sequence (over around 30 minites): Shakshuka, sweet pancakes, Drinks, and Draniki. I do not understand bringing food before drinks and bringing sweet foods together or before salty foods. - Shakshuka was way below my expectations. Eggs were overcooked, and tomatoes were undercooked. There was a lot of “watery” liquid instead of a consolidated sauce. And absolutely no flavor. - Sweet pancakes (6 pieces) are a tasteless sugar bomb served with a very small amount of cut fruits. - Draniki are served without a sour cream/sauce. Instead - there are grated apples UNDER the Draniki. With all my respect, I do not get it. - If you pay by card, you have to pay 7% extra (compared to 3% in other places). - The place is overloaded with tables, with a very small distance in between, you feel there like in a market. What I liked? - Coffee was good. This is why 2 stars.

We ordered 4 things and were severely disappointed with all of them. It was an unpleasant surprise after reading all these positive comments. - Chocolate oatmeal, supposedly made with coconut milk was pretty watery and tasteless; it had exactly two strawberries cut in half. - The honey cake was the worst one we've ever had, unfortunately, since we love it. - Banana pancakes were the best thing we've ordered, yet they were accompanied with an extremely artificial-tasting sauce. +One of them was burned to coal and they hid it (photo). - Chocolate pancakes tasted extremely artificial, so did the sauce. I'd like to mention that we did pay for everything - it wasn't good, but it wasn't *that* horrible either. If you're up for a mediocre experience - go for it. Or just order different things, maybe we just weren't lucky.

I learned about the history and current situation of Vietnam and Nha Trang on Wikipedia, and found that Vietnam was colonized by France in the past, so I remembered the famous exquisite brunch in France, so I searched for pancake on Google Maps and saw this shop. It is very hidden, in a small alley, and a few steps away is a dead end. The menu is in English and Russian, with light meals, coffee, various teas, cakes, toasts, etc. I ordered an American coffee and a kale light meal bowl, a total of 150K VND very fresh and delicious.

We really hoped to have a good breakfast here, however it didn't work that way.

  1. "Shakshuka" - the thing they serve is as far from Shakshuka as us from the moon. If they were called it "two sunny side up eggs in the tomatoes", yeah , that would work , but it's not Shakshuka at all, and doesn't taste like. But , no , they need to look like fancy restaurants, that's why they have trendy items in the menu to confuse their customers.

  2. thus, we are coming to the next fancy item we ordered, "hummus" , it's not even funny , the thing they brought us was presumably hummus , but it was something like a watered down puree of chickpeas, and nothing close to real hummus, it wasn't worst hummus I've ever tried, but takes the 2nd worst hummus totally!

If you are in Nha Trang just visit a Lebanese place called Saj House and try real hummus there.

  1. everything else was mediocre, coffee, service, and other food we ordered. They have this trick everything looks cheap , but the portions are tiny , so to have a decent meal here you would have to order extra items.

So the place is easily 1 of 5, and I think 5 star reviews are fake , otherwise those people would be crazy to call it "great food".

Good luck with doing business like that , you could have regular customers, but no way we are coming here again!

  • response : your waiter was completely careless, and saw that we didn't finish our food, in other "adequate" as you said, restaurant, any waiter would ask what was wrong and if you liked the food.

It's a great thing you made me look like I insulted other people , however it's obvious that most of your positive reviews are fake , and let other customers see how it is....

Before coming to sweet secret I had heard and seen good reviews. Not for us! As soon as we walked in we asked politely for a table for two and could see it was obviously a very busy time for them however the taller waiter immediately told us “no”. To which we thought he was joking, as it came off extremely standoffish and just rude? but he wasn’t joking and proceeded to tell us if we wanted a table it would be minimum 40 minutes to an hour. We decided to try a luck as it was extremely heavy rain - and wait for about 5 to 10 minutes to which many tables became clear and when he told me a table was clear I proceeded to walk towards it, before he snapped at me and told me I needed to wait To which I replied “ I am?” and “I don’t understand what the problem is - We have been waiting?” and he told us the table is clear. It felt as though he didn’t want us to come into the restaurant, which was a very strange feeling and completely uninviting. But due to the heavy rain, we had limited choice of options to eat . When we were finally seated the same waiter changed his tone and began to try laughing and joking with us, but it felt a very strange uncomfortable vibe from the get go. Not only was the service extremely disappointing but so was the food. Our coffees came out tasting extremely burnt. The porridge lacked any flavour. I will say the avocado toast was very nice but that was about it. Definitely will NOT be returning to this establishment - please try and improve the staff manners and the welcoming that you...

It's the worst place we've encountered. The owner was incredibly rude. The first day we visited at 4.10pm and were told we could only order take away as they close at 5pm? We went back the next morning at 12am wanted to get the smoothie bowls and after waiting about 15/20 minuted for our order to be taken ( tables that came in after us were getting orders taken before us) we were told that they were finished with smoothie bowls. The tables that had come in after us but got served first all were able to order smoothie bowls. I didn't order anything then, but my boyfriend ordered eggs, and they came absolutely destroyed in pepper. When he went to pay, the owner didn't even speak to him. We usually wouldn't go back somewhere we had experienced this kind of service, but the reviews on here were good, so we said we'd try one final time. We arrived at 10 am to order smoothie bowls and were told by the owner they were finished. If they aren't going to be selling dishes that take up 2 pages of their menu at 10 am in the morning, then they need to remove them from the menu altogether. Staff were no way nice. the owner just said finished, and that was all. To be honest, it came across like they didn't want to serve us. I couldn't recommend this place at all, the attitude of the owner alone you wouldn't please to give you're hard earned money to them. There is way nicer places around where staff are lovely. Don't waste your...
