Tamarind, The rooftop Bar — Restaurant in Nha Trang City

The food was so mid and I've had Indian all over the world, this was not good. The service was alright (I was the only one there). I ordered three dishes, but they heavily lacked flavour. The restaurant was quiet with no music until more guests arrived. A random dish was delivered to my table, which I assumed was complimentary, but I was too full to try it. Ten minutes later, a hookah was brought to me, only to realize it was meant for another table, which I assume the mystery dish also belonged to. When I went to pay, some man pointed out the untouched dish saying "You didn’t even touch it." I clarified that I didn't order it and guests shouldn’t be addressed so rudely. The Tamarind slightly to the south of Nha Trang's main drag is in a fine rooftop location with partial seaviews. It probably comes to life In the evenings, because it has a good alcohol collection and reasonably priced cocktails. There's beer on the tap too and a pint of Tiger is the same price as elsewhere. I went for lunch, and the place was empty. The service, nevertheless, is brisk and efficient. I ordered a vegetarian thali. It's something few Indian restaurants get wrong. But the Tamarind does. Horrible experience. Terrible signage, we walked past by the place 3 times. Popadom was greasy to the point it couldn’t be eaten. They didn’t have tamarind sauce for the samosas. The chicken tikka masala had no sauce. The lamb curry was tough. The flavours were all off. The lemonade was so salty we couldn’t drink. Not once did they come and ask if we were enjoying our meal, probably because they could tell we were not.
