Best shisha/hookah I've smoked in my life, having been to shisha places in London, Egypt and Vietnam. It comes very very cold for the best experience and an ice pot is provided to keep the pipe cool when you're resting it. The draw and puff is incredibly smooth, the taste is distinctive, and the shisha instrument is very robust and expensive looking. They keep the coal cupped and change it over, which not all places do (I smoked in Hoi An and that place did not change the coal or turn it for me). I'm not a connoisseur by any means but even I can tell that it is very high quality and the whole experience has set a bar for me to compare all other shisha experiences to. We popped in on a night when the live band was playing and we enjoyed the music. Food wise, we were a little disappointed with the flavours (we're used to Indian food in England, where the standard is very high). My lamb had too many fatty bits, and one piece was so chewy it just wouldn't go down. I had to give up on it since it was my intention to catch the sunrise on Nha Trang beach at 6am... in 11 hours. The popadoms are small and very oily, this goes to show they are cooked fresh but I wasn't a fan of the size and amount provided. The cheese naan was excellent and we enjoyed that thoroughly. The staff are very very friendly and helpful, but they do stay out of your way a bit too much. On several occasions we had to walk up to the bar and ask for things. We don't like to be smothered by staff but this mostly felt like they were avoiding or ignoring us.
Come here for the amazing shisha...
Read moreI strongly do not recommend this restaurant! You will not be welcome there! We travel a lot, love Indian cuisine and visit Indian restaurants in different countries. We booked a table in this establishment in advance, going there one hour before. Another thing that surprised me when booking was that the kitchen is on the first floor, and the dining room is on the seventh floor. There is an elevator, but it is used by residents and clients of all seven floors of the building, the elevator is constantly busy and visitors and waiters sometimes have to use the stairs. Carrying cooked food up the stairs to the 7th floor is hardly in line with sanitary standards. The restaurant's toilet is poorly cleaned and has a persistent unpleasant smell. When we came for dinner, the waiter did not come to us for 10 minutes. We were not offered to wait, they did not bring us a menu, water, did not pay any attention. After which, finally, we had to invite the waiter to pay attention to us. After that, out of nowhere, some sloppily dressed man jumped out, didn't introduce himself and rudely shouted at us, saying that they have their own rules, and that we should follow their rules. He didn't care about our table reservation, customer service or reviews of the establishment. It was unpleasant for us, but we went to another excellent Indian restaurant with delicious food, with attentive and fast service. Fortunately, there are several Indian restaurants...
Read moreFood was reasonable. I had a pleasant Thali. It's on the roof of a 6 storey building. A small lift takes you up and you may have to wait. The food is prepared on the sixth floor which also has seating. Smoking is allowed on the roof and tbh there's no getting away from it which I personally find very loathsome. Also loud and repetitive music detracted from the experience. Unfortunately there was a drunk in attendance who was being overbearing, obnoxious and sweary. He was obviously loaded on arrival and in many establishments he would have been refused service. However he was permitted to remain here and his overall pathetickness was such that I went and ate my meal on the sixth floor. I can only review on the basis of my experience on the night, I realize that when you visit the chances of encountering a sad drunk are negligible but I totally regret choosing this restaurant last night. Luckily no children present or they would have learned some nasty English swear words ( the drunk was not a native English speaker). Two stars because the food was OK one more because I got out without witnessing a fight or vomiting episode. I had to walk down the stairs to leave as the lift was just not...
