Fined an ADF veteran, shopping for clothing and food after a having a medical procedure that day (evidence provided and car has visible stickers) and with service related issues $63.00 for being 10 mins late to return to the car in a 90min park. And found the evidence provided insufficient to waive the fine. Even though the 10mins late could be accounted for by the Westfield TTP escalator being out of service (meaning a 10min detour), issues at Kmart with tags not being removed from clothes (held up) etc and school holidays making things take longer unfortunately. And all would be on cctv. And one of the parking inspectors put a note in his phone proving the time we spoke. Disgusting that a shopping centre/council offers an option to contest a fine and then totally disregards the evidence provided to get $63.00 from a retired ex service member on incapacity payments. Westfield when I rang did nothing to help this situation. And City of Tea Tree Gully council clearly have no empathy or understanding towards people with or without disabilities etc. Will never shop at Westfield TTP (or others again). Will buy online instead. Hope this was worth whatever deal TTP gets for $63.00 from CTTG council.
By the way, you have given me 3 due by dates to show how unprofessional and money hungry you are. Which one is it? 11/10/24 (in the photo), 18/10/24 (in the email you sent refusing to waive the fine) or the 29/10/25 (on actual expiation notice)???
UPDATE: Waived the fine after some further complaints. Unnecessary time wasted but...
Read moreNot only was I volunteering on the tea tree plaza grounds for a youth mental health organisation but I was also managing the bbq as a volunteer for this. More than 15-20 free parks at all times and I moved my vehicle between breaks of time. Because I didn't move out of the specific area I 'violated' these rules. I accept this, however, after being there under Westfield's invitation as a volunteer I would have thought that a little leniency would have been appropriate. But no, the council has decided that these reasons are not good enough. Tea tree plaza was once a free of limits and ungoverned car park for anyone using the plaza. This includes workers and volunteers. Why should we have to explain our reasoning for extended need (by no more than an hour over the allotted time for some) just to be told that they want more money anyway. Ridiculous. If you ever get the chance, don't come to Tea Tree Gully, go to a council that respects the people residing in it. Even Salisbury and Playford councils are better at this point, they have great staff and much better understanding for day to day issues. I am sorely disappointed with this council after everything I have...
Read moreAt Redwood park we have been dealing with the abandoned Milne Rd shops AKA Junkies corner for around 3 years now, this area now attracts homeless thieving junkies, multiple local car break ins, illegal dumping, undesirable people walking around not to mention the eyesore to our local area. In this time the council has been notified with problems regarding this site multiple times with little to no action taken but are still willing to Charge us increasing ludicrous rates so overpaid office slackers can work less each year. If I leave my car on the street for a couple of weeks I get asked to move it or it will be towed away, these property owners don’t seem to get any push along to finally get this site demolished, (maybe some local ministers are part of this investment group who knows)? Pull your fingers out and get something done at this site TTG! Love your overcharged local...
