Exchange Specialty Coffee was amazing. The food was to absolutely die for, the service super friendly and prompt to provide drinks & food as required. I had the Chilli Mushrooms with an Iced Latte and both the food and drink were out of this world. The Pea Hummus on the Chilli Mushrooms, served up with perfectly cooked eggs leaves me drooling now a few days late just thinking of returning. The coffee here is on a level of its own and I personally believe it rivals and beats basically any other coffee I have had around Adelaide to be honest. If anyone is after amazing food or coffee I recommend Exchange Specialty Coffee to all, it is definitely the place to be & see.

Came for the coffee, stayed for the food 🤠Quick, friendly service in a busy morning cafe. Good little menu catering to vegans alongside other staples. I think coffee is excellent for a typical morning hit drinker, but not quite on point if you’re looking for that specialty edge. Espresso was slightly under extracted and the aeropress (Ethiopian natural on the day of my visit) lacked the typical cleanness of an aeropress and the jammyness of the EN. Overall, this was a great place for breakfast and some morning coffees. Highly recommend. (NB Car parking in the vicinity was a challenge)

Exchange Coffee is a delightful spot for coffee enthusiasts. They brew Market Lane coffee beans, bringing a taste of Melbourne's vibrant coffee scene to Adelaide. The café offers a modern decor that has a cosy atmosphere, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. As a coffee specialty shop, Exchange Coffee delivers consistent quality. I didn't get the chance to try out their food but They do have standard brunch options. The open kitchen concept adds a unique touch, allowing customers to witness the baristas and kitchen staff in action. However, to me this feature can be a bit of a drawback as the kitchen smells can be overpowering at times. The chance you will walk out smelling like a mobile brunch is high. It's definitely worth a visit for any coffee lover in Adelaide.

I chose to visit this coffee shop due to its reputation for outstanding local coffee. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness, the establishment maintained a commendable level of cleanliness, and the atmosphere of the cafe was pleasant. I ordered takeaway for amond croissant, extra shots in a large cappuccino and also a regular long black, which presented a delightful balance of acidity and flavor. However, the cappuccino experience took an unexpected turn the milk was too bubble, seemed to clash with the coffee, and the absence of chocolate powder left it reminiscent of a peculiar long macchiato. Nevertheless, the overall ambiance and service added a positive touch to the overall experience.

To reply Exchange’s respond: Thank you for taking your time to respond to my review. My intention was to point out the person who made the coffee so that you know which person to refer to (if you ever think of giving the feedback to your employee for improvement purposes). Being an Asian myself, I will never discriminate my own race. Initial review: Purposely drop by to take away coffee but the quality was so bad, both flat white and latte. To be fair, I have to mention that my takeaways was done by an Asian lady on Sep 24. And now, Exchange Specialty Coffee has become my ‘used to be’ favourite cafe, truly disappointing!

Not sure about coffee but food very average and overpriced for what it is. 4 star rating clearly comes from coffee. Would not call this a breakfast place. Brought carbonated water, nice. Then a very basic hot chocolate with no napkin. Then food came out, with spoon and fork but no knife. How to eat haloumi? Small bowl of very liquid and Blant shakshuka with a small good looking but Blant toast. Costs $3 not more. Student meal. Asked for salt pepper and knife. But overall not enough bread for this liquid meal so asked for more. Tried changing $2 for a burnt toast. Could improve service a lot. Won't see $31 again from me.
