Month of visit: September 2024

We visited here for the first time during the school break, and it was pretty busy. The place is located a bit further inside the Queensland gallery of Modern Art. A nice place to bring your kids if they are into arts. We didnโ€™t manage to explore a lot because it was pretty packed up at that time; we only colored some stuff that was provided.

It seems like a go-to place to bring your kids, and you will come back here...

Great talk by Barbara about works by contemporary artists who compared childhood works to their work as an adult. A bit like give me a child when they are seven and I will give you the man/woman. Elements in their current work see their birth in childhood. Interestingly there is no space for young people to exhibit currently. Fantastic go...

Politically motivated, aimed at teaching children how to protest. Children have no right to be at protests for safety reasons. I am not against protest marches. I have participated in one. I had made an informed decision and had heard both sides of the argument before going. Children can not do this. They are not mature enough. Very...

Great visit at the GOMA with my 3 kids aged 6 to 9. They made their own puppets and got to record a puppet show which was awesome! Second section they got make mosaics and their own flags digitally. It changes but this experience was especially excellent.
