Coffee Mentality - South Brisbane — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Mixed feelings here. The place is very simple, maximising the service of coffee without offering nothing extraordinary. Located next to hope st, which always offers interesting characters and in front of parmalat, which will add a beautiful soundtrack (by trucks) roaring pass every minute. This is probably why is mainly a take away choice for people around.

The coffee wasn’t extraordinary. Interestingly the medium offers 1.5 shots, instead of the classic 2. Probably because the flavour of the coffee is quite bitter (in a good sense) and would run over the whole thing. However I did request a second shot and my coffee was mild for my tasting. Latte art was non existent, which I found disappointing because I had seen their pics on social media and thought “let’s see that”. All above contrasts with the friendliness and politeness of the barista, who asked if glass or mug, hot or not very hot…. And later came to ask how the coffee was and if I would like it any different next time. Kudos to him for that.

How freaking cute!!! This is a super tiny spot around the corner from where we stayed that has great coffee and kind service (no savory or warm foods though unfortunately)

But what i loved the most was this brilliant culture of keeping customer’s stamp cards clipped in the corner and through an honor system you just grab yours each time you need it and put it back after! Never lose or forget your card anymore
