They don’t allow any food stalls, which I think the place needs considering the lack of street food we have around here.

They sell clothes/kids toys/neon signs mostly useless overpriced junk

Edit to response: I think your response actually highlights the main issue — that food can only be enjoyed before or after visiting the markets, not during. Part of the charm of great markets is being able to stroll through while enjoying something simple and delicious, like a chicken skewer, dumpling cup, or other street food staple.

Surfers Paradise is the heart of the Gold Coast and the perfect location for that kind of experience — especially for locals and tourists who don’t necessarily want fine dining, tavern food, or fast food like McDonald’s. A few thoughtfully chosen food stalls could really elevate the vibe, bring more foot traffic, and offer the kind of casual, walk-and-eat experience that most markets are loved for.

With all due respect, relying on nearby restaurants doesn’t solve the problem — it reinforces the gap. People come to markets for a different kind of experience, and right now, that experience feels incomplete. Food stalls aren’t just a nice extra — they’re a major drawcard. The current setup misses a big opportunity to offer something more vibrant, inclusive,...

One of the standout features is the vibrant atmosphere. The beachfront is lined with a variety of cafes, restaurants, and shops, providing plenty of options for dining and entertainment². Whether you're looking for a casual bite or a fine dining experience, you'll find it here. The nightlife is equally impressive, with numerous bars and clubs that come alive after sunset.

For those seeking adventure, there are plenty of water sports and activities available, from surfing lessons to jet boating². The beach is also patrolled by lifeguards, ensuring a safe experience for everyone. Additionally, the nearby accommodations range from luxurious resorts to budget-friendly options, catering to all types of travelers.

Overall, Surfers Paradise Beachfront offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and vibrant city life, making it a must-visit destination on...

As a Gold Coast local, it had been about three years since I last visited Surfers Paradise, and I was honestly surprised by its evolution. Being a Friday night, the beachfront market was absolutely packed with people from all over the world, creating a truly international atmosphere. The market was full of life, with numerous tents selling everything from food and drinks to unique accessories.

There was so much to see that I never once felt bored while walking through. The variety and energy of the market were really impressive.

What’s even more remarkable is that this beachfront market operates three to four times a week. This regular event undoubtedly adds a lot of value to the Gold Coast’s tourism industry, providing both locals and visitors with a vibrant place to explore and experience the area’s culture. It’s a great spot for an evening out, and I can see why it’s become such a popular attraction. Whether you’re there for the food, the handmade goods, or just to soak in the lively atmosphere, this market is a fantastic addition to the Surfers...

These markets offer a unique and enjoyable shopping and entertainment experience that draws locals and tourists alike. The markets typically operate on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings, providing a perfect way to spend a leisurely evening. What stands out about these markets is the diversity of products available. From handmade crafts and jewelry to fashion items, artwork, and souvenirs, you'll find a wide array of unique goods from local artisans and vendors. It's an excellent place to find one-of-a-kind gifts and keepsakes to remember your trip by. Live entertainment is a regular feature at the markets, with talented street performers and musicians adding to the festive atmosphere. It's not uncommon to find yourself tapping your feet to the beat or stopping to watch mesmerizing performances. The only drawback might be the crowds, especially during the peak tourist seasons. Navigating through the stalls can be a bit challenging, but the lively and bustling atmosphere contributes to the overall charm of the markets.
