We visited at 10:00am on a Saturday, coinciding with the Handmade Markets before Mothers’ Day. We took advantage of the free undercover parking directly downstairs, which was as plentiful as it was convenient. There were a number of food trucks available and we were spilt for choice. We had the vege spring rolls, nasi goreng and pork buns, which were delicious, but will sample fare from the other trucks in future. We stopped into the library and were informed that an Irish dancing presentation would be available upstairs. There were a myriad of markets on site, with postings, handiwork, clothing, bbq supplies, dog treats, wood craft and cards among the many things on offer. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. When driving down Brisbane Street, turn INTO the old Nicholas Street Mall to access one of many 10min car spaces in amongst everything. If you're quick, you can return library books, pickup sushi (best around), Mexican, dumplings, bao buns, coffee, newsagent stuff, pharmaceuticals, even milk. With all that on offer, just park underneath and enjoy the atmosphere. Kids water play area and a great kids library by day, and creative lighting shows on adjacent buildings after dark.
