Overall, my experience at the Kalamunda Artisan Markets is a good. Situated in "Perth hills" on the first Saturday of every month, you'll find a variety of stalls with plants, cheese, ceramics, art, coffee, food-- the list goes on. I only ever really go for the plants because I have a problem (plant addiction). It's a great place to buy unique gifts, and if you're from or have family and friends from overseas, it's a good opportunity to buy quality Australian hand-made souvenirs. There's a real market feel here, the location and friendly people. It's a nice morning out even if you're not interested in buying anything. Prices vary and it's important to remember that everything is hand-made by the stall holder when perusing the items on offer.
