Rock hard plastic seats designed to accommodate children, small children at that. Paid for a seat and only could use 3/4 of it as the person next to me took up his seat and quarter of mine as well. Seats need to be replaced, I know the capacity of seating will be reduced, however comfort over capacity should be a priority. I was there for the Jackson Browne concert Nov 2023 and whilst the sound system was fantastic and the view excellent, and a brilliant performance 2 hours on a super hard seat detracted from the otherwise excellent concert, be warned take a cushion you will need it! I could not bear to seat on those squeezy hard seats for a five hour tennis match! The centre needs to replace the seats designed for children or small adults with proper comfortable seating, we pay enough for a seat and these are simply not fit for purpose, my first visit to this arena which is visually impressive, however seating wise, a huge disappointment, almost so that a partial refund would be appropriate as I did not get a seat that I paid for. Comfort over profit, the patrons over corporate investment, the customer should come first. This is not a whinge, it's a legitimate complaint that can be addressed! If you agree perhaps give this comment a thumbs up. Hopefully the issue will be addressed. EDIT - Today, Sunday 10th December 2023, sitting on upholstered seats with arm rests at the Drum Theatre, Dandenong, what a stark difference, so comfortable at a local theatre compared to a venue hosting international events, you could step up and even if you had upholstered seats in designated areas, perhaps that could work, instead of replacing all the seats although this is sorely, forgive the...
Read moreI camped out over night for the Louis Tomlinson concert a few weeks ago and the margaret court staff were nothing short of amazing! Special mention to Tony who went above and beyond all day to ensure we all had an amazing time, and even took one of our pride flags and held it all day. Also Chris? i think it was who continuously checked in on us overnight. Night 1 staff were absolutely amazing! Night 2 however, i decided to come as doors opened instead of lining up all day, when i got to the bag check, an older security lady, i didn’t get her name, began to berate me about the fact that I had a little zip loc bag of panadol, voltaren, anti nausea medicine and ponstan. She told me that ‘i didn’t need all of that’, when i proceeded to tell her that i had a chronic illness and in fact did need it in case of a flare, she did not care and continued to tell me i couldn’t bring it in, i was more than happy for her to check all the labels of the medications but she wasn’t having it. I ended up just walking past her, but then i could hear her speaking about me to another security guard near by, and making fun of me. I am nearly certain that there are no rules about bringing over the counter pills into your venue, and i’m pretty sure security staff do not have the right to tell me whether i have too many pain killers or not, and dismiss my chronic illness just because i ‘look healthy’. Sorry to end this on such a bad note, but i think it is something important to bring up. But thank you again to the staff on night 1 of louis shows, you were...
Read moreI went to both of the Louis Tomlinson shows this week, for one I camped out the night before and the second I got up early and came that morning. The security on sight are absolutely amazing. They were so helpful and respectful over night, during the day, and during the show. Even though we weren’t allowed on the grounds over night Chris and the night time security team made sure we were in a safe space and did hourly checks to make sure we were okay, during the day Tony went above and beyond to make sure we all knew what was going on and was genuinely a really excellent person to chat to and spend the day with. During the show on the second night I was feeling very light headed from lack of sleep, dehydration, and low iron and the team inside the venue made sure I was given water and helped me get to first aid safely.all in all they helped make the experience absolutely incredible and one that I will...
