A visit to the Tourist Information Centre was a genuinely enjoyable experience, thanks to the welcoming and dedicated staff who are clearly committed to helping the CBD recover from the impact of COVID restrictions and the closure of many local shops. However, there remains a clear need for renewed investment in the CBD’s walk-through areas and the revitalisation of the shopping precinct. Restoring charm and variety through the return of unique retailers—such as antique stores, quirky gift shops, and niche boutiques—would offer far more character than simply relying on the standard tourist-focused outlets currently scattered throughout the centre. The CBD is lost, it needs a heart and soul back.

Heartfelt thanks to Sarah and Tammy for their warm and friendly hospitality! I got all the answers I was looking for and much more. Tammy shared first-hand experience in most areas I was planning to visit. Very reassuring! Both Sarah and Tammy mentioned they were just a phone call away if I needed further help. Wonderful welcoming experience being my first day in Perth! Much appreciated!

Thank you so much to the ladies of the Visitor Center in Perth. As a backpacker I was searching for the best way to travel along the coast of WA from Perth to Exmouth, with some stops in between, but without the need of renting/buying a car. At this point, the ladies helped me out in the most competent way by arranging a bus trip with all I needed for this section and further helped my out with ideas and suggestions for this trip! Amazing support and a big THANK YOU to them!

P.S. Just a little concern appeared and I would like to share it quickly with you this way, for everybody travelling by bus along WA coast: the Visitor center ladies booked me on a return trip to Perth today 01.08 with the Integrity Coach lines. Unfortunately, I noticed to late that this bus would have taken me up to Southhedland and back to Exmouth-Geraldton-Perth in a 40 hours trip. And the bus drivers actually verified that I was booked on the bus for TOMORROW and not as printed on my ticket today. Made a bit of trouble to get an "short-notice" accomodation for tonight, but at the end everything worked out! Just be aware of this bus schedule for future...

I spoke with Nicola. She organized the 4 days I had to spare. Captain Cook cruise to Freemantle, Ferry information to the zoo, The Mint, Hillary's & aquarium, hop on/hop off bus & Optus stadium. This was done with a smile & nothing is to hard attitude. A follow up phone call to make sure I had received information for the Optus stadium tour via email.

I would recommend a visit to the Visitor Centre. It is central to Perth on...
