Hovell Bar & Grill Albury — Restaurant in New South Wales

Food was extremely overpriced for what was served. I had the scotch steak with truffled broccoli, carrots and creamy mash with mushroom gravy. The steak was dry and tasted burnt, broccoli was just blanched with nothing, same with the carrots and the potato was definately not creamy. It was a $20 meal at best.... not $44. My husband got the snapper fish and he had to chase the fish across the plate it was that dry..... I thought it would be high end because the photos on google look amazing... it did not look like those photos... I got...

My husband and I dined in the Hovell bar and grill and had the most fantastic experience all thanks to John!!! John was friendly professional extremely awesome behind the bar. John is the star of the Hovell the establishment is very fortunate to have him. Food was delicious, fresh and amended to cater for our dietary needs, but John’s magnificent service made our experience memorable and we will definitely return on our next visit to Albury. I was actually really surprised of how amazing the food was, service was brilliant and it was nice and cosy, menu isn't big, and little pricy, remember looks can be deceiving, but they make up for it in quality, and service, and definitely worth it. Definitely will be back. But I can't tell anyone about this awesome restaurant coz I want to ensure I have a table available next time I go.... So shhhh my secret, don't...
