Quest Albury on Townsend — Hotel in Albury

Arrival desk manned by a very friendly and funny guy. A very speedy service all was great. Room lovely and clean.

Not sure why they have blockout curtains when the sun streams in ABOVE the curtains and fills the room with light.

Departure ...WELL now THAT WAS ANOTHER story...

no one at Reception. we knocked,we called out,Warren went and ut his head down the hall and called out again...no one !!

So we waited and waited,finaly noise yay !! NOPE it was other guests wanting to leave.They called they knocked veryyyyyy loudly on doors there and said " We have payed anyway forget it we are gone" And they left !!

US you ask ??? We were still waiting having to make payment.

Scuff scuff I hear feet and sure enough here comes a young woman with a coffee/tea in her hand. No sorry just a smile and I lost it !!

"Not good enough young lady I said"

I wasn't long she says !!!

"Yes you were and I am not about to argue the point with you,again I say it is not good enoug"

She procedded to go head to head with me on just how long she had been. 5 mins tops she roars !!

Well that is 5 mins too long and it was way over and as I have siad once before I am not goin gto argue with you end of story," Just know other guests left already while we were waiting and she said "that is Ok we will take it from their credit card "

So my husband hands her the room cards/keys and she says

"Oh your paid anyway WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM ???" YES THAT IS EXACT:Y the words the little cow used to us but directed at me of course.!!

I took a few deep breathes I did not want to come down to her RUDE LEVEL so I walked out and she walked off.

SO Lovely place to stay I just hope somene else complains about her and she losses the job other peope who are able to do it as she obviously can't get it an dcan make it a pleasant experience on check out.

We stayed here last weekend and the room was way over priced feel completely taken advantage of the room was dull and underwhelming ! and all we could smell was cigarette smoke .the room felt dirty and carpet was worn ! The room faced other rooms and the roof line it was very dark and depressing . it was in a good location and staff were friendly enough when we initially booked over the phone however , the staff never asked how our stay was or anything when we were leaving it was really bad service ! there was no interest showed at all. we wrote an email explaining how underwhelming it was but only got a generic type email back and to be frank we feel they didn’t really care! the lift was really dirty and tiny and the parking wasn’t worth paying extra for .our suggestion is stay at quest Wodonga it was so much nicer, brighter and only a short drive away. way better value for your money ! and much better service. . It was a shame as the idea of staying in a heritage building was appealing it looked great on the outside but be prepared for an underwhelming stay :( and we paid $330 for one night we were going to stay 3 thankfully we went to Quest Wodonga only paid 229 and there is a restuarant where you walk through a covered walkway with lovely food Huon Hill it was great . we would never pay to stay at Quest on Albury Townsend again ,...

Was employed their for a total off 5 hours before I decided to quit,cleaning staff clean with dirty implements e.g anything they can find whether that be a dirty inside out pillow case or a used tea towel doesn't matter to them. As long as there's no hair in the rooms and it smells nice.all bed covers are the wrong size they don't clean anything really at all. staff haven't a clue what their doing. The 5 hours I was their I was the one dealing with guests and their issues such as missing linen, room keys not working and complaints on the tidiness of their rooms (was embarrassing) as well as directing cleaning staff through rooms to ensure They where actually clean. Oliver the head house keeper did nothing but walk around and chat on his phone to mates and pretended to clean also has no idea how to communicate with or lead staff,and the manger of the motel doesn't not seem to care less as long as people are silly enough to book here. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE NEW QUEST IN TOWN AS OPPOSED...
