For VMAX quality, the seats were awfully uncomfortable. The audio and video quality and layout of the theatre was nice. I wanted to further explain my experience by focusing on the customer service I witnessed in the Deadpool session on the 1st of June 2018, which started at 9:45pm and finished approximately at midnight consisted of a horrific display of customer service from staff.
As my friends and I approached the cinema gates one of the staff members RAN back to the cash register, which looks so disorganised to begin with, encountered a male customer who misunderstood her running as an act of concern as he stated, "I have my hat now", as a friendly gesture was trying to convince the staff member not to worry. A decent staff member with customer service skills would have responded in a friendly and polite manner, but this staff member responded in the most shocking manner blurting out, "Yeah I wasn't running for you".
When she finished RUNNING back to the cash register she expressed a facial expression of disgust about what the man had told her to a colleague. I was mortified.
After the movie, the staff member was impatiently looking at the audience with that similar face of disgust. As Marvel movies traditionally show segments of film clips after/during the end credits, the audience decided to continue waiting. The rude staff member blurted an unnecessary comment out loud yet again to the audience, "There are no more credits" realising how rude she sounded she awkwardly tried to cover what she had blurted by saying "I mean... er if you want, you can stay but there's no clips, this is it".
Moments later, when people were beginning to leave, a friendly couple were walking out and the staff member said, "I wasn't lying, you know". Confused; the woman responded with, "Excuse me?", the staff member further states, "People think I'm lying when I say there's no more".
My friends and I were walking out and we wished her a good night and she responded with a mere "Yeah, thanks".
The couple awkwardly chuckled and left. That staff member made the whole movie, which I was waiting to see for months, an awful and hostile experience! Personally, I think EVENT should reconsider their employment options and hire staff with better customer service skills.
If the staff member is stressed out by the late hours of the shift work provided by the company, then the company should explain that this frustration and hostility should not be taken out on...
Read moreDate of Visit: Wednesday, April 16th I came to watch the Minecraft movie, and unfortunately, the entire experience was a disappointment from start to finish.
To begin with, all self-service kiosks were out of order, forcing everyone into a long line to purchase tickets. Despite the crowd, there was only one staff member working the register, which meant we missed the beginning of our movie while standing behind at least 15 people.
The staff member on duty was extremely rude and dismissive. (For reference, she was Asian, female, dark hair, acrylic nails). She spoke to us with clear disrespect when we asked simple questions, and her attitude made it feel like we were inconveniencing her by simply existing. We were also subjected to an unnecessary and invasive bag search, which felt completely inappropriate and discriminatory.
Once inside, the theater itself was in terrible condition. Our seats were sticky, the floors were dirty, and the noise level during the movie was unacceptable. Multiple staff members entered the theater during the showing but did nothing to address the disruptions.
Overall, this location needs serious improvements—both in terms of customer service and cleanliness. I would not recommend it to anyone until those issues are addressed. The rude Asian staff member to be reprimanded and this place needs...
Read moreThis place has honestly gone to rubbish. They’ve made such a silly set up that you cannot get drinks from the normal stand for popcorn and drinks. No instead you must pay for it first then proceed to wait in ANOTHER line at the bar to collect your coke ....not to mention each line had over 20 people. Wow can’t believe how much they ruined this place, used to come all the time for years and never had this problem over the years until they changed it all. It literally looked like a concert that’s how many people were waiting around just to get food and drinks. Not to mention the staff were still cleaning the cinema 10 mins AFTER THE PREVIEWS ALREADY STARTED so we had over 50 people standing in there just waiting .. and once the movie finally started I could barely concentrate from how many phones, flashes and screaming going on the entire movie. I actually had the worst movie experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. They need to make the system like it was before, staff is just too lazy to pick up the rubbish (yes I asked them) and I recommend they have staff checking during the movie for idiots with their phone flashes out. I really had a miserable experience. Never ever coming here again. If it continues like this I don’t see people wanting to keep returning. Fix it or just shut it down, everyone would...
