Had table reservation for 2 hours with family for lunch on a Saturday. It was nice weather, a bit of glare being out on the deck, but the roofing being opaque helped cut some of that. Nice overlooking the hobby farm area and seeing the butterflies chilling out, and overlooking the tennis courts and cricket going on at Camperdown Oval while having lunch. Food prices were ok, a little high for the portion size, but decent quality. Got the schnitty, good portion size but there was not enough jus to help balance out the dryness of the chicken in the thinner parts. Good crust on the chicken though. The potato mash was a bit firm and bland, and it being served on top of the potato jacket skin made it go soft, not as crunchy as it could have been if it had been used more like a twill and put on top of wedged one corner into the mash. Kids had a cheeseburger (it came with chips that wasn't mentioned, which we had ordered extra chips, which turned out to be unnecessary, so, might be good if the menu said cheeseburger + chips), and a kids ham and cheese pizza, which was very large, to the point it was the same size as the non-kids pizza. Like, not even kidding, it used the same pizza dish/plate! My wife had a tomato and prawn pasta dish which was quite nice, very decent sized portion, well balanced. Overall, a nice experience.

Just a lovely, lovely local venue. I'm so glad lots of people don't know about it but desperately want it to be a success for the owners as well so it's both difficult and gratifying to write this review! We had a group of 30 come for drinks and nibbles on Mother's Day. The Yard was absolutely packed and the music was pumping... the place was a downright vibe. Zuzanna had organised our tables like a pro and was just the kindest most accomodating manager ever. Charley, also another favourite, was extremely patient and professional in the lead up to our arrival and did all she could to help. The owner was a real gentleman and again was kind and friendly and made sure guests were very well looked after. Our food came in 15mins or less, the drinks were delish and none of our group had a problem with the prices.. in fact, most of the them hadnt been here before and swore to come back often, as we are all local. As a business owner, i can see nothing but opportunities here to open it right up as a massive beer garden, focus on drinks + music and just a few good eats. We need good, local, outdoor venues to unwind and this is one of the best. Thank you!!!

I really don’t like giving bad reviews. In fact, I hate it! Wouldn’t it be nice if every place you went to was great? Sometimes if it wasn’t to bad, then best to stay nothing. However, occasionally, there’s the exception, and by gosh was this one of those. Needless to say, not a great food experience. Chicken was so dry that it was inedible. My son’s pizza arrived after everyone else had finished. My other son, well after 2 hours and about 4 times walking up to the counter to find out where it was, it finally arrived, albeit inedible and everyone was ready now to leave. Now, this is a combination of things, first it would have started at the kitchen, but if I was a waitress, I couldn’t carry that meal out to the customer and think it was okay… you be the judge. My $65.00 rare grain fed steak, hmm after all the grisly bits were cut off there really wasn’t much left, either way, it was much more like a well done, or more like a strip of leather.

I booked a table for 9. At arrival no one welcomed us. Someone finally took us to the table and left us there. No instructions on what to do and where to go.

We looked around for menus and after 10 min i went inside and ask for those. They gave me one and said: sorry the others are on other tables. The place was empty! So empty tables had menus and a table of 9 had to share the only two available.

Staff were no really present and we really felt left to our own. Surprisingly the place was quite empty too. I guess big lack of training for the young staff and no one with a decent leadership there.

We looked at the menu and after 20 min for the 2 kids to decide we realised there is no table service. Fine. We went in and we order at the counter where we discovered that breakfast items are only available till 11am. Which could be fine if u don’t state on your menu’ that are available from 6am all day. So we wasted 20 min convincing the kids to have eggs and now we need to convince them for something else.

I payed and they gave me raffles tickets, one every 30$ spent. Great!! Nice but the raffle is at 3pm and we booked at 12. So unless we stay 3 hours, this tickets have no reasons to be kept. Funny campaign.

The food arrived in a timely manner apart the pizzas that took longer. Food was not exciting but pizza was nice. And lovely was the live music that started not long after.

Such a shame this lovely looking place going so down hill. I wish to never go back there as it was really a poor experience. If owners or management read this i really encourage them to look into what they doing and train staff appropriately. Today i would have sent the...

I like to leave good reviews. But unfortunately our afternoon at a place we were looking forward to trying out turned out to be an average meal, disappointing service & overall experience.

Afternoon Saturday 01 Nov, hardly anyone there. We chose to sit outside nr kids play area. Unfortunately we didn’t realise the playground was under construction, power tools started going off. The person greeting us & following us to table /bringing table water made no mention of that. The DJ played fast boppy music - sound up loud. With both blasting, we relocated ourselves away from the play area (pity the greeter person didn’t alert us to that fact when she followed us to our table).

We pressed on (DJ still bopping away loud fast music - could not get away from it). Very distracting to try to talk to each other.

Meals ordered, a poke bowl + salmon, a regular burger & chips. Servings were surprisingly on the small size, the food was plain and unimpressive. No wow factor whatsoever.

Not great service at the bar too, my friend was kept waiting around while another person being served before was wanting to taste. He was kept watching waiting too long while this was going on before another staff member served.. Could have been managed better.

Overall the staff basically kept to their stations, although amicable enough when approached.

When plates were collected, no question as to whether we enjoyed our meals…. hence reporting our experience here.

Considering how few customers were there and how many staff were present, an overall disappointing and poor experience.

Unfortunately we’ll remember this place for all the wrong...

I have eaten here twice. Once for dinner inside at the restaurant with a booking, and now once for lunch without a booking outside. The dinner was quite delicious, except for the pumpkin dish which is literally a piece of pumpkin with a sprinkling with spices and seeds. In my opinion, a super lazy dish that required very little effort to make, and way over priced. I returned for a lunch with the intention of avoiding the pumpkin and enjoying everything else. But if you don't have a booking you have to sit outside and I'm quite certain it is a different menu to what is served inside. It was around 1:30pm and the menu is 99% breakfast. We both had the smashed avocado and ordered a side of eggs each and a side of sausage for one plate. The menu clearly states TWO eggs for $6, I even clarified when I ordered, that it was two eggs per serving. We got one crappy poached egg each but still charged $6 each. The sausage was cold. The sourdough was thin and so burnt that I couldn't cut it with my knife it was that hard. The "tomato salsa" was nothing but cut up tomatoes, there was definitely no salsa elements. And the "Feta" was not worth mentioning on the menu, there were two tiny little pieces, I barely noticed them. One of the most disappointing meals I have ever had, I could have made something better myself, and suuuuuper overpriced. If you are going to go here, definitely make a booking, and don't order...
