Recently, I went to the Event Cinemas on George Street to see "Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse," and overall, my experience was positive with only a few minor flaws. First off, despite the film's popularity, the ticket costs were fair. Despite the fact that they were a little higher than typical, I was prepared to pay more since I recognised the need to watch the movie on a large screen. There was enough legroom and a comfy sitting arrangement. The chairs were adequate, but the general comfort could have been improved with a little extra cushioning. Nevertheless, I wasn't too crowded or uncomfortable to enjoy the movie. I was able to fully immerse myself in the movie because of the theater's excellent audio quality. The viewing experience was improved by the clear language and well-balanced sound effects. The staff was welcoming and accommodating the entire time I was there. They effectively handled the crowds at the concession stand and paid close attention to the requirements of the patrons. Their expertise and upbeat attitude were much appreciated. The appetisers were good and lived up to my expectations. The selection of alternatives at the concession counter was respectable, and the snacks' quality was acceptable. Although there is space for improvement in terms of increasing the selection of snacks, what was offered was delicious and filling. In conclusion, I had a good overall experience watching "Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse" at Event Cinemas George Street. An great moviegoing experience was made possible by affordable ticket pricing, plush seating, excellent audio, and helpful staff. This theatre has the potential to offer movie buffs an even better experience with a few simple upgrades, such more comfy seating and a wider variety of refreshments. I highly advise trying it out.

We've been here two times during our 3 weeks in Sydney. Buying the tickets, choosing time... all easily done on the touch-screen-kiosk. Buying popcorn and coke (and all you don't want to eat) in a small self-service area without having to wait. Great experience. If you want to have something more substantial, there is a Sushi-shop, a small Thai-Grill, Bubbletea shop, Hungry Jacks, ... in the front area. First film was great, with new seats, clean polster, well maintained anywhere in the upper area. Great sound, gigantic screen... would be a 5 - Star experience. But: Second time we've been in Cinema 10 on the ground level... well...in other cinemas this would not be operated anymore! It was dirty, small, musky smell, the sound from the next cinema came over to our room... not so great when you watch a horror-movie (Insidious - the red door) and suddenly somebody starts shooting and you ask yourself why... Oh! It's next door... Finally: The MOST DIRTY and smelly restrooms I've seen in my life! I held my breath and touched nothing I did not have to...next time better go at the station... or under a bridge... its cleaner. All in all I'll give 3 Stars and hope they get better or just close the old scrap down if they can't afford to renovate.

First time at Event Cinemas—such a fun experience! I watched in one of their regular theatres, and I went for the classic movie combo: popcorn and a soft drink in the cutest pink character cup (I chose the Snow White one!). The self-serve candy and drink stations looked colourful and well-stocked, and the whole lobby felt playful, like a little candy land. Before going in, you can choose your snacks. There’s a self-service station where you grab your own popcorn and drinks, then just pay at the counter—no need to queue. I really liked that part! The staff were super helpful too—they even opened my popcorn box and showed me how to use the drink station because I didn’t know how to set it up. The cinema had a fun and calm vibe, and it wasn’t crowded at all—only about 10 people in the studio when I went. The seats looked pretty, but they were a bit low for me and didn’t support my back that well, so it wasn’t super comfy for long sitting. But I enjoy the film peacefully. The sound and screen quality were great, and the whole vibe felt relaxed and fun. Even the toilet was clean and well-maintained—which is always a bonus! For my first visit, I’d say it was a sweet and memorable movie night. Definitely want to come back with friends!

DO NOT GO HERE! Hands down THE WORST cinema experience we have ever had. Spent over $220 here to watch Top Gun for just 2 people and what a dreadful waste of money for so-called Boutique experience. Staff are completely curt and disinterested in you as a patron and dismissive with queries. There are zero ushers, you could actually walk off the street into a movie because no one checks or gives a toss. Tables don't get cleaned from previous guests, crumbs everywhere, make sure you bring your own wipes to do it yourself. They never once cleared our table, dirty dishes just pile up on this tiny table, yet they just bring your food (cold and late albeit) and walk away empty handed leaving all the mess. Floors are so dirty. Stickiness everywhere, looks like it hadn't been cleaned for days. My guess is on a Sunday evening, the entire place being operated by a bunch of 20 something yr olds and younger can't really be bothered doing their job and just want to do the absolute bare minimum so they can hurry up and get out of there. We attempted our food order 3 times as we kept being told items were not available on the menu. With no exaggeration, with what was available....ALL of the food was cold. 5 hot meal items - all cold, disbelief. Order for one of our meals turned up almost 40 minutes late, movie was almost over, no apology either. No meet and greet in this place, they leave you looking like an idiot waiting at the check in counter, some staff look at you and literally walk past even though you've been waiting. You have to go up to the bar an approach bartenders instead. Rude. Toilets were also scummy, just filth.

How do you justify taking hundreds of dollars off people for an establishment right on George St in the heart of Sydney's CBD that touts it's name as a Gold Class Boutique experience?

There is no option for less than 1 star for this monstrosity, do yourselves a favour people....take your hard earned money elsewhere. Plenty of awesome smaller entertainment businesses and food vendors in Sydney deserve your coin as they work hard for and appreciate their patrons. Staff here just...

Where to start. First week of school holidays and mid day in the Gold Class lounge, no staff in the bar area for the 'pre-movie experience' which we arrived an hour early for. Orders were lined up across the bar to be taken into cinemas that sat there for over an hour and 45 minutes. The staff member that did eventually turn up was disinterested and un-attentive. The staff member then started to take orders into the cinema but was touching the food after having touched her face and hair. A second staff member turned up but didn't help or acknowledge the other memeber was overly busy. People started to come out of there movie sessions looking for there food and drinks. Food didn't turn up for people in the cinema and everyone in the cinema requested refunds. Staff members were slamming drinks, food doors and cupboards as the unhappy customers started to mount.

We didn't order any drinks or food after we saw what was unfolding. We got our own popcorn and drinks from the 'candy bar' which was also empty and not at all stocked.

The toilets were absolutely disgusting and the cinema was filthy upon entry. We were then asked to leave the cinema as they were going to clean it. The cleaning then exceeded the scheduled start time of the movie and there was no notice that the cinema was open. By the time we got into the cinema the movie had already started.

As everyone started to get settled orders for the previous movie session where being delivered. Anyone who had ordered food and drink were then consistently going out to the bar to question where their orders were.

It was a terrible experience especially when you consider the amount you pay for the 'Luxury movie experience'. I can understand a bad day and being understaffed, but 3 hours later the issues were ongoing with everyone being...
