I recently had the pleasure of visiting Gelato Messina at The Star, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the service was nothing short of 5 stars. The staff at Gelato Messina were not only friendly and welcoming but also extremely knowledgeable about their gelato offerings. They patiently guided me through their extensive menu, helping me choose the perfect combination of flavors. Their enthusiasm and passion for their craft were evident, making the entire ordering process enjoyable. As for the gelato itself, it was an absolute delight. The quality and taste were unparalleled. Each scoop was bursting with flavor, and you could tell that only the finest ingredients were used. Gelato Messina’s commitment to creating unique and mouthwatering flavors is truly commendable. The ambiance at Gelato Messina was also quite inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that made it a perfect spot to enjoy your dessert. The attention to detail in their presentation added an extra touch of elegance to the overall experience. In summary, Gelato Messina at The Star offers not only exceptional gelato but also impeccable service that goes above and beyond. If you’re looking for a memorable dessert experience, I highly recommend paying them a visit. It’s a true gem for gelato enthusiasts, and I can’t wait to return for more delicious treats.

I was served by a below average height brown male called Erik Sentury who somehow bought his way into the Supervisor position. Erik "served" me extremely poorly, not acknowledging my prescience till after looking at him for a good while, (this was while the shop had no customers) Erik came up to me, murmured 'hi' whilst looking around at other things, he failed to greet me properly, he additionally didn't ask what flavours I would like to try, he never mentioned the specials, he also didn't acknowledge allergies or recommendations. After letting him know what I would like, he served it in a fast rush, being rough and not being careful or doing his job with quality, he served me not in a way where its busy but in a way to get me to leave, this actually resulted in the Gelato being served smaller than normal. Throughout all of this, he didn't say a word. No goodbye, no thank you, not even any eye contact, he said nothing except that annoyed murmured 'hi' at the start.

Good location, easy to get to, plenty of choices. Staff were friendly and worked efficiently. I normally go for choc mint flavour when eating ice cream and I did so on this occasion ordering one scoop of chocolate and one of choc mint. The chocolate flavour was delicious - not the best I've ever had but I would eat it again. Unfortunately, the choc mint ice cream was the worst I have ever had. It literally tasted like mint out of the garden. I realise it is choc mint flavour, but normally the mint taste is toned down, but in this case, I may as well have been eating mint leaves straight from the garden. I was very disappointed as I've never tasted a choc mint ice-cream I don't like, but this one, I would not eat again.

Best lemon sorbet I've had in 25 years, you can really taste the lemon. You can even see pieces of zest that they've added in. Yesterday I got the salted caramel and it was way too salty but after seeing all the positive reviews I gave them a second chance and it was totally worth it. Just please don't get the salted caramel, I tried to stop that woman from getting salted caramel but she didn't believe me! Now she's in hospital with cardiovascular disease.

A Messina as good as any other. Maybe it's because it's not in a convenient place for most locals, but this is one of the only Messina's I've ever been to which hasn't been sold out of all the specials. Was great to finally try some. The ambience is non existent being effectively in the star food court, but you can take a quick walk down to the water for a much more pleasant aspect.

Good friendly service, clean store, good serving sizes and great gelato. Although this Messina is a little bit smaller than the others, the staff that I’ve interacted with are friendly and patient. They gave us a good serving of gelato and the texture and taste was as good as the others I’ve tried. Their seating is just the general Star seating, but there’s plenty on the area!
