Absolutely horrible and unprofessional behaviour from the staff here. I went in for a normal trim and blow dry and I had been to this salon once before and they did a generally good job (the staff at that time were a lot better). I went in the second time to get my hair done exactly the same way, even showing an exact reference picture of myself from the last time I had been there. The fellow who was doing the services for me was the english fluent short bearded guy with curly ugly brunette hair frosted blonde. His behaviour from the moment I had gotten there already made me uncomfortable with the amount of jokes he was cracking and the lack of understanding and taking seriously what exactly I was asking. For my blow dry, I repeated on at least 10 occasion to do the same as I had done with someone else the other time as I had an important function for which I wanted to look good. I told him no hair other than my curtain bangs was to be cut and even that, was to be slimmed slightly. He continued to boast about his skill, which I seriously already started to doubt. He continued to ask uncomfortable questions about myself and my name and the car I drive etc. All irrelevant and time-wasting when that effort could clearly be spent on improving his hairdressing skills. He kept contradicting what I asked for, saying a curly style blow out would look better when I repeated several times I wanted straight and for it to curl at the ends only, exactly as the reference picture showed. He kept pressuring me to "do something different" which is clearly not what I had come to the salon for. I repeated "no thank you" several times and he continued to do as he pleased. I am not sure if this was some pathetic attempt to be funny or witty or what but maybe keep your opinions to yourself next time and don't pressure your customers. Disgustingly unprofessional behaviour. He completely messed up the style of my curtain bangs, which had just grown out slightly and I honestly could have done a better job myself than that incompetent man. Not only did I waste time and money on the day of an important function, the styling was so disgusting as he would not listen to my instructions and went on to curl it and only when I stood firm and spoke up when he had "finished", did he straighten it up. By that point, my hair had already gotten greasy with all the curling he had done before, and the blowout looked like a child had done it let alone a "professional." What's more is I had to go home WASH MY HAIR, STYLE IT MYSELF and then go to the function because it was that unsalvageable. So not only was MONEY WASTED, so was time and the unfortunate experience of having to encounter such a unprofessional and skillless man. I called later that day asking to talk to the manager and requested a refund and I was told she would call me back. I did not receive that call so I called the day after and she expressed no remorse or customer service skills. I had a few friends who would also go to this salon and you best believe, I have ensured to let them know the service that is offered here and they will not be returning. I have also filed a complaint report to the ACCC about this business about the poor quality of work.

Read moreI went for hair colour(root touch up)today to the salon ie 18th june(mentioned so that you can find out who did the color).As I don’t know the lady who did the color she started colouring in a hurry although till that time there was no single customer at the salon till that time as it was around 11 in the morning.She didn’t do any partition and started colouring absurdly and it was applied within 10-15 minutes .Then I had to wait as she got busy with customer walking in and then after 1 hour so she took me for wash .Howwver after wash and dry I saw there is still color showing up on scalp and forehead and when I mentioned it to her she started making faces and was like this is how color is done as if I am doing it for the first time in my life and really don’t know the after result .She tried to apply some cream to wipe it off Bt really didn’t help and she was least interested too as if there is nothing wrong in wht she did. She spoke to Michael on the store who carrier all the attitude and so rude as always(although he’s one of the best hair stylist )i know.The lady walked away with that attitude and Michael mentioned that this is how it comes as it’s root color and due to lot of hair fall this is showing up .And his behaviour neither his attitude really was convincing so I preferred to just walk away after the conversation . Do NOT waste your time your money and especially your hair – I only straighten my hair once a year and after less than a week it’s already NOT STRAIGHT. I can’t redo it without frying my hair so I’m stuck with this bad result for the whole year.
Before going, I even called and clearly said I prefer a woman to do my hair. When I arrived the vibe was negative and then a male staff member came to start my treatment. I panicked and had to stop him right away telling him not to do it. It was awkward and I felt bad for him because it wasn’t his fault but I had made my preference clear on the phone. The person I told should have respected it. It’s like going to a restaurant telling them you’re allergic to something and they serve you exactly that.
The straightening itself was rushed and done completely wrong. She applied solution, washed, ironed and sent me home telling me I could wash the same night. I even asked her again and she said it was fine to wash tonight or tomorrow, but I knew something was off. She finished the whole process in just 2 hours when it normally takes 4 hours for proper permanent straightening.
The correct steps should be: • Wash & conditioner • Apply straightening solution, wait 1 hour • Ironing, then apply neutralizing cream, wait 20 minutes • Wash again and blow dry • Do not wash for 3 days
I was told it would cost $400 but they charged me $432 without telling me. That’s dishonest if there’s an extra charge at least say it before charging my card.
