Read moreThe place is busy as expected given the location of the facility, but still usable if you are ok with limited seating, and being knocked around in the pool. Our visit was poorly timed due to state swimming carnival but we could still thankfully access the more recreational side. The noise was highly intolerable so I would advise any sensory adverse people bring earplugs of some description. The entry price includes access to the spas which is a wonderful addition most places don't offer, which is why I went there with my family, but they were all closed due to chlorine imbalance. The Cafe on the lower floor offered very basic foods, which one would expect but the RBF expressions of the staff, were the only part more offensive then the prices of the luke warm food.
The cleanliness of the womens bathroom left little to be desired, with faeces caked on the toilet, and over flowing rubbish bins, but the accessible bathroom was horrific, with a full blocked sink, and blocked floor drains leaving stagnent water on the floor to wade through to access any of the facilities. The roof also appeared mouldy and compromised, and staff didn't seem to find this urgent and said they'd just let the cleaners know. This isn't an acceptable level of cleanliness for any facilities, let alone those specific for patrons with...
Read moreVisited Aquatic Center with my 7yr Grandson on a midday Friday. It was a pupil free day at his school. Liked the free parking. We loved the rapid river section. Lots of staff helping to control any antics. Family change rooms great idea. Large swimming areas to help spread out crowds. Didn't like to find a public facility full of small children who couldn't use the water park( mini slides and climbing area) cause they dont open till 3pm. We waited patiently for it to open and someone sauntered over at 3.30 to open the chains. If the pool has lots of children in it why not let them play on it? Found the cafe areas very dirty. Dirty floors and tables. Lockers and hot showers lovely. Hot tubs full of old men who sat in one spot all afternoon...a bit creepy. Then the drink and food machines take money and credit cards but dont give the goods. When inquiring about getting my money back was told they are privately owned and no one in the center can help. My advice..dont waste your money using them!! If they are not working but full of goods the staff should have a sign that politely says ' out of order' not just wipe their hands of the problem. !!! We overall enjoyed the rapid river area but the whole area holds such promise with a bit more...
