Otto Wagner's Pavilion at Karlsplatz one of the finest examples of Vienna Secession architecture in Vienna. Here you find two identical buildings that were constructed in 1898 by Wagner. One is made use by Wien Museum during the months of April to October with opening hours of 10-6pm (Tuesdays to Sunday). The two buildings are an architectural delight if you enjoy Art Nouveau and Secession style architecture. They include apple-green painted wood with metal decor and gold painted ornamentation typical of the surging Secession Movement of late 19th century Vienna. It is a very attractive exterior to view even if you are not a particular fan of this art and architectural movement from the turn of the 20th century. Give Otto Wagner's Pavilion a few minutes of your time while sightseeing at Karlsplatz in Vienna. Then you can continue with your monument viewing and visit to the impressive Karlskirche just behind you on the opposite side of the square.

Little, charming and shining museum. I really liked the information boards - even thought there isn’t much space, storytelling is really exhaustive. My personal discovery - Otto Wagner philosophy was all about functional and rational purpose of architecture, and only then design. “Expanding city” concept created by him in 1911 explains ring structure of the Vienna map, and why it’s so comfortable to live in this city. Otto Wagner was a visionary and leading passionary of the 20th centuries. Highly recommended!

Small, beautiful and cosy museum inside the pavilion of Otto Wagner’s works. Takes 15-20mins to see everything but still worth as Wagner has huge influence on Succession movement. The staff was helpful in giving the information of places.
