A Holy Shrine, as it is well documented, that Our Lady of Fatima appeared to three children asking them to pray the rosary and offer sacrifices as many as possible for the sinners of the world. I recommend visiting! It is a place where devotion and faith are palpable. Here, people come from all over the world to plead for the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima that God may grant humanity mercy, a favor, a miracle that will transform their lives! I myself was not a practicing Catholic, but since my first visit to this Holy Shrine, I sure know that I have grown in my faith, as has also my relationship. Love coming here to pray in the Chapel of the apparition where I know and feel I have a direct audience with the most blessed Holy mother of God, Our Lady of Fatima. I exhort everyone to visit, for I know your life will be transformed! I will undoubtedly return as many times as my heavenly father allows!

Across from the Basilica of our Lady of The Rosary is the much larger Basilica of the Holy Trinity. In 1996, construction of a new church was proposed as the existing church couldn’t cope with the large crowds on certain days of the year. In 1997, the authorities at Fatima organized an international design competition for the new church. On 19th December, 1998 the international jury selected the design of Greek architect Alexandros Tombazis. Work began in February 2004, with the cornerstone of what would become the Basilica of the Holy Trinity installed on 6th June. The first stone was blessed and donated by Pope John Paul II on 9th March 2004. It came from a marble fragment from St Peter’s tomb, located under the eponymous basilica in Rome. The church was dedicated on 12th October 2007.

Located in the Sanctuary of Fatima (one of the most renowned pilgrimage sites in Europe) , Basilica of the Holy Trinity is a modernized Construction built in the 20th century. It is one of à group of Catholic Religious Buildings in the Sanctuary, I have found some people have mistaken the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosery, which is in fact located opposite, as the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. You will feel the true holiness in the Sanctuary throughout the day and night. In the morning, you may see those devoted pilgrims moving on hands and knees towards the Basilica, and at night you may see many pilgrims holding the candle lights to sing and pray.. There are some legendary stories related to this site as well. I do Recommend your visits, particularly if you are Catholics.

Just to be clear and not her confused: the church of the Holy Trinity is the more modern and bigger church located at the entrance of Fatima Sanctuary, while church of the virgin of the rosary of Fatima is the older and taller one (the iconic church of the sanctuary). The church of Holy trinity is more functional than beautiful. The interior is quite dull, with the exception of the mosaics over the altar. But it is an essential place for people who visit the sanctuary. In front of the church, two stairs bring you to the lower floor, where you will find the Chapel of Reconciliation (Reconciliaçao), where you can be confessed, the chapel of the Holy Sacrament, a temporary and free exhibition about the rosary.

The architectural beauty of this place is truly captivating. As I stepped into the Basilica, I was immediately struck by its breathtaking serenity. The design and layout are truly remarkable, and the sense of tranquility it evokes is astonishing. The church is pleasantly cooled with air conditioning, enhancing the overall experience. The artistry displayed on the altar is nothing short of extraordinary. Without a doubt, I am eager to revisit this remarkable location. I would visit here again. Highly recommended!
