If you want to go here, please DO NOT! It’s such a shame because the açaí was actually good, but the service and overall experience were awful. I had already paid and was waiting in line behind two other tourists who fit the typical white-American/European profile. They were given 4–5 samples of different açaí flavors while I waited. When I kindly asked if I could try just one sample (since I wasn’t sure which one I wanted), the owner told the staff not to give me one assuming I didn’t understand Portuguese but it was an obvious “no” after my request. I showed them my receipt to prove I had already paid, and only then did the staff give me a sample after saying something to the owner. I was furious. Why was I treated differently and almost got denied something so simple while others who hadn’t even paid were served with no issue? It was frustrating and honestly felt like discrimination. There’s different sizes, types, toppings, syrups and also a DIY weight-based bowl where you add what you want and pay that way. Also there is normal and sugar free acai available.
They layer the toppings however you like. Mine was ok but perhaps I didn’t pick the best combinations.
