One reason we stopped here is it’s just unique. Accessed by a little bridge via a big bridge, it has a little pond (which is connected to the river) for the kids to splash in and throw rocks. My girls enjoyed the minnows nibbling their feet. It wasn’t busy on a weekday but not quiet either, lots of families with their kids as well as people biking by. It also has a few picnic tables and lots of seating.

Calm and relaxing park away from too much people (mostly they are in Prince’s Island Park)

There’s a pond where you can have a picnic, chill on a blanket, throw stones on the water or just look at the calm canopy of trees.

St. Patrick Island is a bit long, connected to Calgary Zoo. There’s a really good trail for running, fireplace/grill, clean washrooms and...

I love this park, the playground and picnic areas and splash areas are great. What a wonderful 'naturalist' area for kids to explore.

However, the washrooms are awful! They are always dirty, always at least one has a broken sink or soap dispenser or plugged toilet, and always 2 of the three are without toilet paper! The maintenance really needs to up...
