Attended a cooking class for Creamy Sweet Potato and Cauliflower Soup with Stanley Public Library. Event was hosted by chef Angel Luna Olivares from Azucar Taco House and cordinated from "THE KITCHEN" 's Zofia Trebaczkiewicz. This was a cheap thus obvious go to date night option for $12.00 per person, being my second class I decided to drag along my boyfriend (there wasn't much dragging needed as food was involved). I previously joined classes with THE KITCHEN's Cranberry Orange and Lemon Scones (absolutely mouthwatering). Overall once again, a lovely and educational experience. We were taken through the step by step process of making the dish, alongside educated on why we were taking time with certain steps and the necessary points of layering when plating. We had the pleasure of being seated up front and had lovely interactions with both Angel and coordinator Zofia, both filled with obvious years of expereince. Following the end of our night we were graced with chef Angel plating our dish to use as the demonstration. Food is made with love and you can see this with every step Chef Angel takes. Highly recommend signing up for a class with THE KITCHEN. (Most memorable part of the dish for myself was the addition of Peperoncini, love spice and this was definitely an added kick.)

My recent visit to the Edmonton Public Library left me with a mixed bag of impressions, but overall, it was a positive experience. Upon entering I was greeted by a super-friendly old lady whose warmth and helpfulness set a welcoming tone for my visit. She efficiently assisted me with printing, making the process hassle-free. The library's spacious layout immediately caught my attention, providing ample room for browsing and reading. The vast collection of books further impressed me, catering to a wide range of interests and preferences. It's undoubtedly a haven for book lovers. For families with children, the Library offers a treasure trove of resources and activities. From engaging storytimes to educational workshops, there's plenty to keep young minds stimulated and entertained. However, it's important to note that during my visit, I observed a significant presence of homeless individuals using the computers on the third floor. While this didn't directly impact my experience, it's something to be mindful of, especially for visitors with specific concerns or preferences.

Ladies and gentlemen, I've stumbled upon a place in Edmonton that's more loaded than a baked potato at a steakhouse. This place is like a treasure trove of creative resources, with an impressive lineup of tools and gadgets that will make even Tony Stark jealous. And the cherry on top? It's all completely FREE! I'm talking about a wonderland of books, 3D printers, recording studios, sewing machines, circuit workstations, and so much more. It's like the Swiss Army knife of community spaces, with something for everyone to enjoy. The only catch? Finding a parking spot can be trickier than finding Waldo in a sea of Waldos. But trust me, it's worth the effort. In fact, if it were up to me, I'd be taking my offspring there every week faster than you can say "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." So if you're looking for a place to unleash your inner Picasso, Edison, or Martha Stewart, this joint is your one-stop-shop. Just make sure to bring your patience (and a good map) when it comes to parking.

August 26, 2021 the new location of the library is the the old location but renovated. It is an amazing renovation. You have to come to experience it. Lots of open air areas and seating is plenty. This is a review of the temporary location at the Bay building at Jasper and 103 St. It’s small location so extremely crowded. It has all the services of the library at their regular location at Churchill Square but not a lot of material. If you need something specific then you will have to order it and wait. This location is old and not so clean. It’s well lit. It’s a good thing the new main branch will be opening in February 2020 because this location is nasty.

I walk in the front entrance which has industrial carpet to wipe slush and snow off boots and shoes. I visit the 2 floor of the Library area and take empty Vinyl ( LPs ) to the front counter. I ask about taking out more than the 5 vinyl limit with the staff, they reply that they won't allow more than the maximum. I contemplate this maximum because they have lots of vinyl that no one is borrowing. I need the staff to get the Vinyl from the back room, which I assume is because the items are fragile and best to be discharged from the front counter than stored upstairs, and also for loss prevention. I exit the library and keep to myself.
