My family came in for Mother’s Day, and had a truly concerning dining experience. We put in our drink orders around 5 minutes after sitting, and placed our food order another 5 after. We waited close to 40 minutes without our drinks and were not offered water at this point, nor were servers making rounds to request water to. Our server was not familiar with the menu and tried to tell us a menu item did not come with a side (we had to point it out to her, at which point we were able to order a side). At around the hour mark one plate arrived at our table with no sign of our drinks or other food. I’d say 5 minutes later a server asked if we would like waters and she shortly returned with them. We all got our food spaced out one by one.(we still hadn’t received our drinks). We asked them to cancel our drinks and they said they were already made and just waiting super quickly for one. We waited for another 10 minutes and only 4 of the 5 drinks were brought out. We were told it was coming shortly. They then returned and told us the drink was not able to come out and offered a free soda for the 5th drink. As for our food, it did not come as described. The “shoestring fries” with the ribs are thick cut fries resembling Costco fries. My fried egg was undercooked and made me feel ill. One of the items were requested as spicy and my sister was told she should have ordered it that way, despite my hearing her do so/the server write it down as such. Some of the plates are not filling, namely the waffles as they were not “thick” like described. My bagel had skimpy portions of avocado and salmon. It seemed as though there were only 4-5 staff members that were wearing different hats. Our server said there was no manager when I requested an incorrect entree be comped, but she did comp all of our drinks. I was very disappointed, as the business looks gorgeous and I was expecting to enjoy my time. It appeared like the other patrons were experiencing similar difficulties, and there was a general air...
Read moreGood food! Not worth the wait.
This place has recently rebranded and is seeing an uptick in patrons; for that, I am so happy for them. The food here is typically good, but our experience today with overworked staff and incredibly long wait times was teetering on the border of unacceptable.
Bless the two waitstaff who were trying their best to keep up with the busy Sunday lunch crowd. I find it unacceptable from management however that they think this is an acceptable and sustainable business model with the amount of people needing to be hosted at this restaurant.
My friends arrived before us and ordered a drink which didn't come until regular persistence with waitstaff and even then arrived after the food was finished with a total running time of close to two hours from ordering to it being at the table.
Ordering food was a similar experience, you will be waiting around at busy times to be seated, then wait before a waitress can come to give you water and take orders, and from that point you may only have to wait another hour before food arrives. On the bright side you'll certainly be ravenous by the time your food comes.
I noticed nobody was eager to wait for their bills at the table and so a long line had also formed at the bar where orders were being paid for.
Again, food was great, the two people on staff were trying their damndest, but management: you need to change something. My experience and the experience of many others was one of sitting around twiddling our thumbs and calming...
