As much as I love the food items on the menu, but the service is the poorest and the most demeaning in a new location café opened on Whyte Ave. One would think that a new café on the block would try to strike all the right cords to ensure they have new customers visiting often. To my surprise, that's not the case - people behind the counter care-less of what's put out on the counter for customers orders.
My friend and I visited the café on its opening day and ordered two chais' - one regular and one ginger chai. The guy with tattooed hands puts out the chai on the counter AND, since they lack the common sense of labelling clients beverages either by person's name or beverage name; I asked him which ones is ginger and regular. He tells me "taste both and find out which one is ginger".
It's ridiculous and stupid to say something like that. There are allergies and people's health and hygiene and privacy to consider. He wanted me to sip my (male) friend's cup of tea and find out which one is ginger. I will be surprised if this guy still has his job even after this review.
HOPE THE OWNERS KNOW THAT THEY HAVE TO INVEST IN HAVING THE RIGHT KIND OF PEOPLE WITH COURTEOUS ATTITUDE TO WORK - Only then will your business thrive in a bustling area as Whyte Ave.
I hope necessary action is taken to make your folks in the store understand about taking their job seriously, SPECIALLY CUSTOMER...
Read moreNot going back. Bad service, wrong order, and a retarded rude cashier. The cashier was nice to me when I spoke to him, but when my boyfriend approached him he gave him attitude. Then he didn't tip the guy right away on the debit machine( which he doesn't have to give if he doesn't like the service and obviously was forced to tip) even though we were planning to tip by cash, before we could even take out some coins the cashier was like :" oh I see how it is" and giving us a mad face and most likely he messed up the order after that on purpose, giving us a wrong side dish with the excuse that they "ran out of rice"( come on remedy). I got gluten in my food, even though the dish was labeled as gluten free and as a result my intestines are twice the size due to gluten intolerance. Beware !! that if you won't tip right away they might mess up your food. Food sucks anyway and is overpriced. Think twice if you're planning on more than just coffee. Not worth the time or money. I think the cashier was gay and didn't get the d yesterday. Merry Christmas...
Read moreI really appreciated my time at remedy cafe, 109th st. I used to visit this place back when I worked nearby and would grab a chai and enjoy it's flavour. Over the years, I have visited several times and really wish remedy had brought back it's free chai after a number of visits back. It really was a great incentive by the company. However, despite going there so many times, my trip yesterday was one of the best. The cashier took my complex order with multiple chais, some were without milk, some with milk, half-sweet, in a kettle, you name it. I even asked for the mushroom elixir teas as a latte and If I were the barista, would feel kinda flustered but she patiently answered all of our questions and had a smile on her face. I really wish I knew her name so I could let the manager know about her amazing service. Overall, I was extremely happy with the service. Thank you very much Remedy cafe, you've outdone...
