After seeing the advertising for the glow in the dark dinosaur scavenger hunt I decided to finally take my kids. After a long wait in the lineup (which was totally fine), my excited kids saw less than 10 minutes of a small display of a couple dinosaurs with some bones. We searched around for 20 minutes trying to find the rest of the display but that was it. The kids did the scavenger hunt to kill some time but the event seemed more suitable for younger kids not really for my group of 6-10yros. What existed of the display was interesting but very small. There wasn't a whole lot to see. We were there for maybe 30 mins and I left to get the kids icecream instead cause they were bored. I recommend for smaller children who are just becoming interested about history and art, they will definitely enjoy the displays. For older kids with inquiring minds who want to know more, they will likely be bored. There just wasn't enough to keep their minds involved.
The staff however was polite, pleasant and the museum was clean and well maintained. This museum is good for...
Read moreExcellent place to take the kids and family for a fun day. They have two art rooms for kids to colour, do crafts and play with some very cool stuff. They also have a mini bridge for the kid to walk on, and also another mini bridge they can build and play with boats in the water( it’s magnetic and very cool) my son loved it. They have a themed room; last month it was space themed, so we were able to purchase some space merchandise, which my son loves, this month was fire fighters, my son said it was his favourite room, and there were some firefighter arts and crafts. We really enjoyed the scavenger hunt through the museum and looking through the art gallery and all of the amazing views of the river. Definitely a great place to visit again and again. Five stars !! Weekend is the best for kids ! They have arts and crafts up stairs as well with someone...
Read moreVery interesting museum with many displays and lots of information. The museum is not just for kids but can be interesting for adults as well. I highly recommend a visit to Chimczuk Museum. One can take as little as an hour or up to two and a half hours to complete the tour of the museum. I myself don't stop and read every single word and look at every single display but on this trip my interest was held much longer. Being from the US and visiting with my wife's family in Windsor Ontario there's a lot of history in which I...
