Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of dining at the River Room restaurant in Windsor, ON, and it was nothing short of a perfect dining experience. From the moment my party and I walked in, we were engulfed in a warm and inviting atmosphere that promised a great evening ahead. Though everything about the River Room left a lasting impression, there are two highlights I must point out: the delectable sirloin and our fantastic waitress, Yasmeen.

The sirloin was cooked to perfection, a masterpiece on a plate! As someone who appreciates the fine art of steak preparation, I can confidently say that the chefs here truly know their way around a grill. The meat was succulent, perfectly seasoned, and melted in my mouth with every bite. It was accompanied by equally impressive sides that complemented the steak beautifully, making every mouthful a delightful experience.

Aside from the phenomenal food, what truly set this experience apart was the outstanding service provided by Yasmeen. From the moment we were seated, Yasmeen was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She made excellent recommendations that were spot on, contributing significantly to our dining pleasure. Her passion for her job was evident, and her warm personality made us feel welcomed and valued. It's not every day you come across a server who can make such a positive impact on your dining experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at River Room to celebrate my mother’s 50th birthday, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The ambiance was beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious and well worth the price, and the view was simply stunning a perfect setting for such a special occasion.

We were a large party of 25, and while coordinating a group that size can be challenging, most of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Mamoud was especially kind and pleasant to speak with. He took the time to calmly explain everything regarding our reservation and was incredibly understanding, making the experience feel warm and personal. Our servers were also fantastic; friendly, professional, and always smiling. Their attentive and polite service added so much to the evening.

That said, I did have a less-than-pleasant interaction with Harjeet, who called me an overwhelming number of times prior to the event, pressuring me to pre-order for the entire group. At one point, he even stated that if I didn’t, our reservation would be canceled. His reasoning was that the staff’s convenience should come before the customers’ something that felt off-putting , frustrating and unprofessional. Thankfully, Mamoud reassured me and made it clear that while pre-ordering was appreciated, it was not mandatory. His respectful approach was a stark contrast to Harjeet’s, and I’m truly grateful for that.

In the end, aside from that fuss, the River Room staff made my mom’s birthday celebration feel special and memorable. I highly recommend this place for its great service, excellent food, and unbeatable views. I just hope you get Mamoud instead of Harjeet when you call for such...

This place scammed me they told me the steak was bigger than it was and it took 50 minutes just to bring the food. They also promised me the window seat, but they gave me a seat in the back. They were also really cheap. They only put four on your rings in my plate. They brought me water that had leaves from Riverside in it and for my steak, I ordered medium rare, but they gave me a medium well done end it taste like it was burnt. They put couple of vegetables on the side to make it seem like they’re fancy but it had no taste. My friend took out the leaf from the water and it looked like poison ivy. They make the room seem like it’s high, but it really isn’t. If I’m being honest, I need your rings. They got from Burger King We’re better than the steak. They put dead peoples ash sauce on my steak. The waiter kept on looking at me in a weird way so I can tip her, everyone in the restaurant thought they were fancy and there better then us there was also different colour of skin people that were looking at us in a really gangster way, They made me walk up the stairs there was no elevator there was no Parking had to go 10 blocks down and I have to pay for a parking, The food did not fill me on my lizard friend up afterwards he wanted to get McDonald’s also, my other friend, want to do He put his hair in the meat after Halfway eating it , my friends kept drinking all the water till it finished because the food was so bad, in conclusion, the only vegetable was the broccoli and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone that should have a good day out because they will take your money and give you...
