It was our first time trying out this place and the reviews were true to their word. My boyfriend and I decided to get takeout. The female who took our order was nice. We were told it would be a 25 minute wait and when we arrived, our food was waiting for us. The lady who took our bill was extremely friendly and well-mannered. The interior of the restaurant was also very cozy and homely. When we opened up our food, I was taken aback by how beautiful the presentation of the sushi was. I had ordered the dynamite and the unagi avocado roll. The rolls were a good size and were filled with a good amount of eel, tempura, cucumbers, and avocado. The rice itself was the perfect texture as well. Additionally, this restaurant is attentive to detail. They had placed a green grass deco so that the wasabi and ginger did not touch (this is great as I don’t like either). My boyfriend and I also ordered the regular chicken karage and the spicy chicken karage. The appetizers come with a side of cabbage as well which is nice balance from the fried food. The chicken was tender and crispy on the outside. Both apps were good, but my boyfriend and I enjoyed the spicy chicken karage better as the sauce was delicious. Overall, this restaurant is one of the best sushi restaurants in Windsor. This will definitely be our new go to place. I am very happy we decided to give it a go and I highly recommend it.

Had an early dinner there today. My husband and I ordered gyoza, dragon rolls, and 2 chicken udon stir fry dishes. We went while it just opened and only one other table of 2 in there. Lunch took over 1.5 hours. It took 40 minutes to get the rolls, another 20 minutes later for the gyoza, and 20 minutes later for the udon noodles. Because of Covid-19, we didn't have loose change except for $2.50 which assumed sufficient for a restaurant with barely any customers. Wrong. If you go, pay for 3 hours minimum. We couldn't enjoy the meal and sprinted before we could get a ticket. My stir fry dish was soup-y and my leftover was in a flat Styrofoam container which the sauce spilled all over me and then dribbled on the car seat. Why wasn't it packaged in a standup container? Or container placed in a bag? I never understand why businesses go cheap on bags and containers. You're a service industry. Food wise.... Okay. Average. To wait that long, I expected spectacular. The udon tasted more sweet than spicy, more bbq mixed with teriyaki sauce. The gyoza was okay. Not much flavour the filling inside. My husband ate the dragon rolls and said it was okay. Next time I'm craving Japanese food, I'll go elsewhere.

It is really difficult to try not to come in with a Toronto bias to the food scene in Windsor. I will try to come off objectively, I think one of the biggest things and this is supposed to be an industry standard is ticket times. From order to receiving, it took quite a long time >30 mins. Now, I will understand if it's understaffed but it didn't look like it. That and not seeing a server after ordering food to top up drinks is probably my biggest gripe about this place. Food wise, I think some dishes try to be creative but end up missing the nail completely. Fuji San roll as an example is supposed to come on a sizzling plate, but the roll does not sizzle. I imagine it was for texture purposes, but the roll was just warm. Okonomiyaki was disappointing, it seems to me that overcooked and over mixed the batter so it was just like this pasty pancake. I would say that their Korean dishes are definitely better than their sushi, it is just that pricing is pretty nuts. I get it, portions are bigger but sometimes having a large portion doesn't make up for the value. Likely will not be revisiting but for any tourist it's a pretty decent spot for Korean food.

Poor experience—very disappointed! My partner and I spent our valentines dinner here and received terrible service. Unfortunately we did arrive 15 minutes late to our reservation, but we called in advance to let them know, they were fine with it.

Once we arrived, we were confused on where we had to wait as there was no sign or host. We waited at the door and made eye contact with the staff at the back multiple times and they ignored us. Around a minute or two we walked back there and they asked if we had a reservation and we got seated. Compared to all the rooms, ours was the worst—dirty walls and bare tables. The overall restaurant did not appear busy, as there were still some free tables and the energy was calm.

The food was good, but it did take a long time. We understood that it was expected with Valentine’s Day, so we are not as upset with that. However, it took around 20 minutes to have our order taken. Then around 40 minutes to get our drinks. They kept forgetting the drinks and we reminded them around three times and finally got it during our entree (with a quarter of room of space… not worth the price or hassle to get them).

Throughout the entire meal, we were never checked up on or asked how our meal was. Only interaction was during the large intervals between receiving our food and there was no initiation with conversation on their part. When we finished the entree, it waited empty at our table for almost 15 minutes, before we were finally checked out and had it cleared off.

We are very disappointed and upset we wasted time having our—what was supposed to be—romantic dinner. Waste of $140. We will not be dinning here again and do not recommend this place if you’re looking for a dinner that is worth the price with...

Came here after seeing the great reviews, but I was very disappointed by the food and the service and would not recommend dining here. My two friends and I each ordered one main dish (yaki udon, udon soup, and rolls), and we waited for over half an hour for the food to arrive (in fact, when we arrived, I heard the table behind us complaining about how long they have been waiting for the food). Once, during the wait, we asked a server to check on the food. She nonchalantly told us that it is coming without even bothering to check with the kitchen. At least the other server who brought us the food apologized for the wait when the food finally arrived. However, my rolls came quite a while before my friends' food, so it became very awkward for us - I had to sit with the roll in front of us until their food arrived, because the gap was so long that if I had started eating right away, I would have been done when my friends could finally start eating!

My rolls, the fuji san roll, was good and was uniquely served on a hot iron plate. However, my friend who ordered the seafood udon soup described the broth tasting like instant noodle broth, and there was barely any seafood in the dish. Both the yaki udon and udon soup had a small portion given the price. It was not even filling. In Toronto, I could easily order a much larger portion of udon given the price.

The restaurant itself has lovely décor, even with Japanese-style tatami seating that is rarely seen at Japanese restuarants in Canada. It has great potentials, but first it really needs to improve on its...
