Great location but really hit or miss pending on when you visit. This location is just off of the Dundas TTC Subway Station, on the highest floor of 10 Dundas Street East. It's surprising how many theatres are packed in here as you navigate from the building lobby up to the theatre lobby.

The staff do a great job at checking for proof of vaccinations and being extra courteous and patient. This location has an orderly line system provided for being required to enter the theatre lobby. Additionally, you'll have to get in before purchasing the tickets on-site. The staff is pretty responsive in helping and letting customers know the usual about which theatre and what floor to be directed to.

The building maintenance is pretty hit or miss and could be better. When we visited, the women's bathroom was in horrible shape near theatre #6. When we went, one of the stalls had no door, at least two stalls were not dealt with and were clogged. In another stall, water was just everywhere. It was an absolute mess and was disgusting. This was around 3pm on a Saturday.

Unfortunately, the IMAX theatre #6 that we went to was overly loud for our viewing of DUNE (Part One). Our viewing experience was taken away by the sound quality and at some points, we could not even hear the actor's voices. Some of us had to put in earplugs/earbuds that we owned to muffle a bit of it. The theatre was clean though, and was nicely spaced out. Not sure if we would come back for IMAX, it wasn't worth the price, DUNE was pretty good though if you heard it.

For those who want a more exclusive experience, the VIP addition is a must-try. The Cineplex Cinemas Yonge-Dundas and VIP offer a VIP experience for movie-goers that is worth the additional cost. The VIP section is well-designed, and the seats are comfortable, making the movie-watching experience enjoyable. The menu at the seats is a nice touch, and customers can order food and beverages from their seats. The staff member delivers the food and beverages to the seat, which is convenient for customers, and we ordered several beers for the group and a 'First Class' fishbowl, which was a great experience overall. Customers can order food and beverages from their seats, and a staff member will deliver the items to them. Even if you arrive late, you can still order outside and eat later or at the seats. The only downside is the location of the bathrooms outside the 19+ area, which may be inconvenient for some customers.

Note, one downside of Cineplex is the new charge for online booking, which may be a turn-off for some moviegoers. However, there is a way to save some money by purchasing tickets in person. Another option is the CineClub Movie Subscription Program, which is available for $9.99 per month and waives the online booking fee. Members can enjoy one regular admission ticket every month with no expiration date. A limited number of tickets are also available for $9.99 for the...

I’ve had at least one bad theatre experience in every Toronto cineplex due to people losing interest in etiquette ever since covid fried everyone’s collective brains. So I’m used to cineplex’s lacklustre standards. I’m writing this review as I had to leave the first 20 minutes of Ryan Cooglers New and very anticipated movie SINNERS! Which was ruined by the most sleaziest, greasiest British men and their women. Which I know how bad that sounds but that’s how bad they were. They were physically confrontational taking seats from people In a full imax theatre. Moving every 2 mins to another seat. The entire theatre had to tell them to shut up because when we got the manager he stood at the end of the aisle not saying anything to them and even left, though he could clearly see in the dark theatre. They were physical to other theatre goers getting up calling eachother (even though they were in the same cinema) walking through every full row intentionally bumping into every persons foot and seat yelling across the entire theatre. This was the worst cineplex experience I’ve ever had and I know you think you’ve had worse, but this has forever ruined Toronto’s cineplex reputation as they didn’t do anything till about 20-30 minutes in when we stormed out after they had dumped popcorn intentionally on another movie goer. I will never go to another Toronto cineplex let alone the train wreck that is The Dundas Cineplex. I’m scared by the fact they were getting violent and even when the manager showed up he turned a blind eye. Management should be fired and they owe every person an apology. Ps if I could give them 0 stars...

4DX at Its (Almost) Best – Jurassic Park: Rebirth We went in to finally experience the 4DX format and I think I picked the right movie: Jurassic Park: Rebirth. The motion seats, rumbling effects, and timing were solid. I was expecting a poncho for some dramatic water sprays, but turns out... the mist was so light, you barely felt it. Maybe this branch tones it down or skips the full spray mode altogether? Still, as a first-timer in 4DX, it was definitely worth it. Of course, food prices are sky-high, but hey, that’s how they make money, so no complaints. The place was well maintained and clean. It’s just a bit sad to see it so empty. 15 years ago, a Saturday show like this would've been packed! Note to the theater: if you ever go full 4DX: like water spraying, wind blowing, heat waves, lightning strikes, fog machines, please advertise it. I’ll be the first one in line. I want the all-out experience next time, not the toned-down version. Tip: unless you want a Confetti effect avoid popcorn buckets.

DO NOT SIT IN ROW G OF THE IMAX THEATRE!! I paid 100% of the price to watch 50% of a movie. I am 5’11” tall and could still only see 50% of the screen in front of me (as you can see in the photo) so if you’re shorter than that, good luck! Row G is basically on the same level as the row in front of it, meaning that even if the seat in front of you is empty, only 70% of the screen is visible. It is incredibly badly designed. It was not just me having this problem, people on either side of me were also dodging the heads in front of them to read subtitles. It completely ruins the moviegoing experience, especially when you pay such exorbitant imax prices to go for an immersive viewing experience. I had to move down to the front row of the theatre to get a better view and as you might imagine watching a movie in imax from the front row is far from ideal. Really soured the experience of watching a great movie that I had been looking forward to for months.
