Dentonia is not only fun but challenging, it is great for beginners and intermediate players as par 3s tend to be quicker but challenging enough to make par. I came originally at the end of 2024 season and loved the location, right beside Victoria Park Station and having loads of parking makes it ideal for both those with or without a car (personally I take transit). You only really need 6-8 clubs as most holes are around 100 yards and the longest hole is hole 11 being 182 yards, I bring a 6 Iron, 8 Iron, 9 Iron, Pitching Wedge, Gap Wedge, Lob Wedge, and lastly the Putter.
The clubhouse has bathrooms, water fountain, apparel, clubs to buy and rent, carts (I prefer carrying my bag but to each their own) and snacks/drinks. when booking your tee time on the Golfthe6ix website it will take your credit card down but will not charge unless you are a no show for said time. If you do show up (as you should) they will as you to pay and once you have your receipt you are just waiting for your time to start.
Normally I play solo or with one other person so I tend to play quickly and in the spring/fall its easy to not see many people. So the shortest its taken me (solo) was 1hr and 30mins, while the longest time (with a partner and in the busy summer) was 2hr and 45mins. I like how the pace is at this city course compared to other courses and it is always a blast! The great thing is there is always seating at the start of each hole so if you need a break you can always do that and some washrooms along the way just in case of an emergency.
Lastly I will say the price of coming here is cheaper than getting a bucket at a driving range and coming here twice is usually the price or cheaper then one round at a standard course. With this one there's a lot of ups and downs (HILLS) so keep that in mind when picking a club and putting at this course can be more challenging than standard 72 par golf courses and that's what makes this 54 par 3 course so fun and challenging. Good luck out there and enjoy this amazing city course as...

Read more2 perspectives on this. 1) Golfed here last week and thought it a great place to bring my gf and her mom, who are beginners. Was wrong. Stuffy rules and an unnecessarily strict staff made it harder for no reason. Course takes itself too seriously for what it is, a city owned, subsidized par 3 course. Wouldn't let my mother in law carry a hybrid or 7 wood because they aren't allowed. When I kindly explained to the worker that there were some 150-70yard holes she couldn't possibly reach without them, he said too bad it was the rules and if he let us he'd have to let everyone. Fail to see what harm could have come of it. Had no problem letting me walk on with a 3 iron i can hit miles further than any of her woods though. Made us rent a bag for my girlfriend who had 4 clubs, reasoning that if her clubs weren't in a bag they couldn't possibly figure out who was on the course was golfing. I suppose the clubs and swinging at a golf ball were not enough of give away. As if to add insult to injury, the two players immediately behind us both had hybrids and were BOTH carrying their clubs. 2) That being said, as a long time player who owns all the proper equipment etc, its a decent course and good price for ...
