Dragon City Mall, located in the heart of Chinatown Toronto, is a bustling and vibrant shopping destination that offers a unique experience for visitors. With its wide array of shops, eateries, and cultural offerings, Dragon City Mall has something to offer for everyone.

One of the highlights of Dragon City Mall is the diverse range of shops and vendors. From clothing boutiques to jewelry stores, herbal medicine shops, and novelty stores, there is a treasure trove of items to explore and discover. Whether you're searching for traditional Chinese products or simply browsing for unique finds, Dragon City Mall provides an interesting mix of offerings that cater to various tastes and interests.

The food court at Dragon City Mall is a culinary adventure in itself. With a variety of Asian cuisine options, including Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and more, you can indulge in a wide range of flavors and dishes. From savory dumplings to fragrant soups and delicious stir-fries, the food court offers a delightful selection of authentic Asian cuisine at affordable prices. It's a great spot to satisfy your cravings or to try something new.

The ambiance of Dragon City Mall is vibrant and energetic, reflecting the lively atmosphere of Chinatown. The mall is clean and well-maintained, with a mix of modern and traditional decor elements that add to its charm. The hustle and bustle of shoppers and the aroma of street food create an immersive experience that truly captures the spirit of Chinatown.

The location of Dragon City Mall is convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. It serves as a hub for exploring the cultural richness of Chinatown and its surrounding areas.

One aspect that could be improved at Dragon City Mall is the organization and layout. The mall can get crowded, especially during peak hours, and navigating through the narrow walkways can be a challenge. However, the lively atmosphere and variety of offerings make up for this minor...

tldr; There are some highlights here, but DON'T use the washrooms!

This is place is very much a childhood memory for me and it really hasn't changed much (great for the nogistic me, but probably not so great for the mall in general). Its not a big shopping mall thats really worth making a special trip for, but interesting to browse around if you're nearby. I believe it is much more of a convenient place the locals frequent.

A couple of highlights though:

  1. The bubble waffles in the lobby. It been there since I was a kid and still tastes heavenly. Really awesome walking into the lobby and smelling the aroma of freshly baked(?) waffles.
  2. Parking beneath the mall. Its a bit out of the way and hard to find, but there is an underground parking lot beneath the mall (entrance I think is at the back). You do have to pay and I don't remember it being cheap. But with finding parking in Chinatown hard as it is, we generally go straight here.
  3. Pet store downstairs. If you go downstairs, there's a really cool pet store there to browse. It has lots of interesting fish.
  4. Just browsing. If you like browsing random things like I do, there's two stores on the 1st floor that I enjoy looking through. One's the 'book store' and the other is a typical explosion of Chinese odd objects.

As others mentioned, there are a bunch of resturants here as well. I haven't tried them, but I'd imagine they're pretty decent.

Again, DON'T use the washrooms,...

Nothing special about the mall. It used to have some good stores but all of them are gone now. Below average to say the least

Also don't go into the toy store beside the herb/medicine store as the boss lady running it is extremely rude. I went in there and I saw something I wanted so I picked it up to take a look at it and the boss lady saw me and she started yelling and screaming at me. Not to mention that everything is fake and extremely overpriced, like the plushies were 30 bucks each. I could buy like 5 of them for less than that on Ebay!

It's got a ton of stuff that mostly appeals to very young children but it seems like the boss lady was rather rude to them as well, as when I was walking out of the store I saw a little girl pick up a doll off the shelf and the boss lady saw her and she started screaming at her not to touch it and well the little girl got scared and started crying. The boss lady didn't even apologize to the little girl, she just had this smug look on her face. That boss lady is one of the rudest people I have ever seen. 0 out of 10 for that store alone

Also that store has those balloon things that play obnoxious Chinese music that makes your ear bleed. I could hear those things as soon as I walked...

This is a small shopping mall that sells random Chinese stuff. There is a restaurant that specializes in Hong Kong-style clay pot rice that is quite good. I went to check it out the other day and was so glad to see they had the Euro Game on the screen free for the public on the ground floor near the entrance It was such a nice community service as not everyone had cable at home or wanted to go to the pub. During the game, a lady who appeared not to be at her full capacity stole something from the pharmacy on the ground floor. An old Chinese guy alerted the security who seemed not interested in doing anything about it. The Chinese guy insisted and the security finally made a move to check it out, but not really do anything.

DO NOT GO TO THE GIFT SHOP PLACE. The lady running the gift shop is the most rude person I've ever encountered. We told her we couldn't understand Chinese. She followed us through the gift shop like we were stealing, and yelled at us even though we couldn't understand what she was saying. It looks like other people in the reviews were also yelled at by this same lady. She tried pushing us to buy, and when we looked around the shop for 5 more minutes, she yelled at us loudly and made a shooing gesture to get us to leave the store. SHE IS SO RUDE. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE A WALKING WALLET NOT A HUMAN BEING. Her heart is not kind. I sincerely hope karma gets to her.
