Our recent school trip took an unexpected and frankly baffling turn with a visit to Dufferin Mall, an experience that unfortunately fell far short of any educational or even enjoyable expectations for a school outing. The fundamental issue was its complete unsuitability as a destination for a large group of students; it's a shopping mall, not a curated attraction, and this became painfully clear almost immediately.

The environment at Dufferin Mall was chaotic and overwhelming, especially for managing a school group. It was incredibly crowded, noisy, and bustling, making it a constant struggle to keep our students together and accounted for. The sheer volume of people, combined with the typical commercial distractions of a mall, meant that maintaining focus or fostering any kind of group cohesion was nearly impossible. It felt more like a logistical nightmare for our chaperones than a purposeful trip.

From an educational standpoint, the visit offered virtually no value. There were no exhibits, no historical context, and no unique features to engage our students beyond typical retail consumption. The attempt to turn a shopping mall into a 'trip' was misguided, leading to a general sense of boredom and restlessness among many students who quickly exhausted the novelty of wandering through shops. It lacked any sort of a narrative or objective that would justify its inclusion on a school itinerary.

Furthermore, the general ambiance of the mall felt tired and uninspiring. It lacked the modern amenities or welcoming feel that might make a large public space more palatable for a group visit. The limited seating in the crowded food court presented further challenges, and the overall experience contributed to a feeling of stress rather than relaxation or enlightenment for both students and staff.

In conclusion, Dufferin Mall was an utterly perplexing and largely disappointing choice for our school trip. It offered no clear educational benefit, presented significant logistical and safety challenges due to its crowded and commercial nature, and ultimately provided a very unmemorable experience. We strongly advise against considering Dufferin Mall as a suitable destination for any organized school outing...

This used to be a favourite place of mine to visit from time to time to be honest because of the time. Make of not being there since 2019.

Today I went there because I wanted to go into a few places that I normally would have gone to back in 2019.

I started with the winners it was cramped it was hot it was loud and it smelled as if it hasn't been cleaned in weeks.

I then entered the mall itself and all my goodness the combination of smells between cinnamon popcorn and Bo was absolutely horrifying but I kept strong and I kept on walking. I tried getting into the dollar store my goodness I barely survived going down the stairs never mind coming up the stairs!!! It was so cramped I could not breathe the air was absolutely stale and it smelled rotten. I had to get out of there as soon as possible I could not breathe in there.

I then tried my luck with the Walmart, what a mess that was, I couldn't believe it, it used to be one of my favourites now I couldn't find anyting I was looking for again the air was stale it smelled so bad in there absolutely disgusting!!!

I then turn my attention to the No Frills what a mess!!! Cramped, things all over the place again the smell in there as if it was rotten fruit and vegetables all over the place and even the walls smelled bad.

I have never in my life been to No Frills and wanted to get out I was trying to run towards the exit but the trolley I was trying to get past was too big for the narrow area so the lady had to move her cart and I pretty much at the jump over it...๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

I will never ever ever go into Dufferin Mall for as long as I shall live. It smelled in there as if that is where things come to die, I know that sounds very brutal but I have no other way of describing it.

Never ever ever again will I go there never...

My first visit to the mall was an absolute delight! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by its pristine cleanliness and impeccable maintenance. โœจ Everywhere I looked, it was evident that the staff put in considerable effort to ensure the mall was in top-notch condition. It's like they were constantly shining it up for visitors like me!

What really caught my eye was the vast array of stores available. ๐Ÿฌ From the convenience of a Walmart supercenter to the allure of brand factory outlets, including Winners, Chatr, Source, H&M, and Marshalls, there was something for everyone! Whether you're hunting for bargains or seeking out the latest fashion trends, this mall had it all. ๐Ÿ’ƒ And let's not forget about the food court โ€“ it was an absolute gem! ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ• With a variety of options to satisfy any craving, from fast food favorites to international cuisines, my taste buds were in for a treat.

But perhaps one of the most pleasant surprises was the ample parking space surrounding the mall. ๐Ÿš— Finding parking can often be a hassle, but here, it was a breeze! No circling around endlessly or worrying about getting a spot close to the entrance โ€“ there was plenty of room for everyone.

Overall, my experience at the mall was nothing short of fantastic. ๐Ÿ˜Š From its cleanliness and variety of stores to its delicious dining options and convenient parking, it exceeded all my expectations. I'll definitely be returning for another shopping...

The Duff has been drastically getting more sketch on a daily basis yet security's efforts or enhancements are non-existent. I made a stop at the mall to grab some groceries on the way home from work on my bike, locked it up at the front entrance of the mall near Marshalls and No Frills. Within an hour, left to grab my bike and it was STOLEN in broad daylight! I know there are signs that say they are not responsible for bike theft/damage but they could AT LEAST BOLT the bike racks to the ground to prevent theft, someone was literally able to lift the bike rack knocking it over damaging other bikes in the process of stealing mine that was locked on the larger outside pole which I assumed was bolted. When I approached security, they were not helpful and let me know that there are no cameras there (WHY?) and directed me to the security office to report it, staff continued to be unhelpful there (while I was there, they also seemed reluctant to help when receiving a call from a worker at Windsor who called in about a customer literally smoking crack in their store and being verbally abusive), took my info and gave me a contact for non emerg. toronto police hotline to report it. Called the number but ended up being on hold for an hour never talking to any actual human being so I hung up. Moral of the story, think twice before bringing your bike to the Duff and if it's stolen, it's as good as gone.

This mall used to be quiet, not busy and the stores they had, there wasn't many of them. It was essentially a mall where you could grab a bite to eat but it wasn't updated. I haven't been here in several years but I was very surprised at how many more stores they added. This isn't that far from my home and I can definitely see why it's busier. They added a sepoora, banana republic, Tommy hifiger store and much more. It's only a one floor mall but it has finally put in more stores that are very good for the mall. I definitely am happy they revitalize they mall. I wonder if they'll add more stores once the condo has been built and people move in. It just kinda sucks though that they have a high school next to it. Maybe get more security for that. But it's a good, clean mall from what it once was
