One of the most popular subway stations on Line 1 (Yonge-University Line), Dundas Station has a lot of foot traffic to get to popular tourist locations like Yonge & Dundas Square, Eaton Centre, City Hall, and Nathan Philips Square. The iconic yellow walls with underground foot traffic to go to either side of the northbound and southbound transit. The subway is connected to the Atrium (on Bay) and Eaton Center via the PATH system!

TTC's Dundas station is at the heart of Toronto's underground rail network and handles probably the highest daily footfall on TTC's network. A PRESTO card is increasingly becoming the payment method of choice for passengers, and if you are new to the system it probably makes sense to use the station outside peak hours to avoid destruction in stampedes.

This is the chillest city-like area without the city crowd, traffic and rudeness of Tokyo or NYC. It's as good as it gets for a good balance of open-space, people and areas to shop. Good food a couple miles any direction. Also a some feels of old-town with some local cafes/restaurants/bars.

Scary experience – stay alert and don't wander! Had a stroller with young kids so we were trying to use elevators to get to the southbound platform. At first we were on the wrong side and a TTC employee told us to go back out to street level, cross both roads, then come down thru the mall.

Once underground on the south side, while looking for an accessible way to the actual train we followed a sign that seemed to point to elevators. MISTAKE! Almost walked into a doorway where 2 or 3 people were ducked in to do drugs at 11 am. Beyond the doorway I could see a long creepy hallway, possibly connecting the 2 directions (maybe that's why the employee sent us the long way back up to the street instead!)

Had to backtrack and push stroller onto an UP escalator because the mall elevator drops you LOWER than the train platform. It worked for our purpose, but sucks to be you if you truly can't do any type of stairs.

We were probably being naive tourists wandering too much, the locals must know to stick to the most heavy trafficked areas and keep your...

This is the stop where I was getting on the subway for the first time in my life, I was so excited! I handed him the money and I needed change. I gave hive a five and he handed me back the change and I thought he had taken what the cost was for the fare, so naturally I walked through the turnstile. Seconds later he starts screaming at me to get back and pay. I didn't know how to get back as the turnstile had locked and with tears streaming down my face now, I finally found the right ones to get back. I gladly paid which is what I intended to do in the first place and moved on with my day. That was my one chance at my FIRST ever TTC experience...and I can never have a do-over. That was my moment...and it was...
