Posted on here for my horrible experience and was told to email them. Never got a response on that either. Guess the problem isn’t just with the staff but also the people who hired them. My mistake for believing otherwise. Posting my full email here (that i got no response to) :
Hey Team,
Reaching out with regards to the review we left on google as well. On Apr 10th around 2PM i went to Rabba to take out some money from the ATM inside. I was hoping to get 10$ notes for the 100$ i took out. I only got 5 notes of 20$.
Without thinking too much about it, i thought id go to the front counter to ask if my 20$ notes can be changed to 10$ instead. The lady at the counter said that she had change but i would need to ask from the store manager (Edward) before she can give it to me.
When i approached Edward, he made a face and asked me ‘do you think i have change?’. I got a little confused so i asked what? And he was like ‘do you think i have change? Do you see it in my pocket? Who told you to come to me’ . I pointed to the cashier and Edward got progressively worse, heading towards the cashier and shouting at her as well ‘do you think i have change? Is it in my pocket? Why did you send her to me.’
I was still really confused with the reaction and so i asked the cashier what does he mean? Can i get change or not and she said ‘the boss is angry, i cant give it to you’. After realising what happened, i just left.
Not only was this man, Edward, rude. He also came off as extremely derogatory and sexist. I have been living in the building above Rabba for the past 4 years and have always chosen to shop here . I have never been belittled and embarrassed the way i was that day. I cannot believe an organisation like Rabba can choose to employ someone who has no regard for other people but is also an extreme opposite of everything diversity and inclusion stands for. He embarrassed me as well as the lady cashier for no reason in front of other people who were in the checkout line.
Please note that i’m by no means upset that i wasn’t given change. I understand policies and rules. I just wanted that communicated respectfully to me without someone shouting at me.
I have extreme anxiety and this crippled my self confidence. I have been unable to visit the rabba branch for 2 weeks now because of the anxiety and panic attacks this incident has caused me. I really hope you hold this store manager accountable and if you can, i’d love to get a written apology from the man who decided to degrade me for...
Read more3 bad experiences.. and all of them could have potentially made me very sick! 2 times milk curdled before expiry date. First time I did not return the milk, but I informed them about it, they responded by saying they would have reimbursed me for the spoiled milk if I had taken it back. Second time I did not even inform them, I simply decided not to buy any perishables here. My friend also experienced the same. Returning the money is not the point. They are doing nothing to improve their standards, but they will return the money. Once I made the staff remove the entire rack containing chicken - I visited at around 7am the store was being mopped. As I walked by the meat section, I noticed a putrid smell. I picked up a chicken tray and observed sticky slimy fluid and the plastic covering was dirty and muddy. The meat itself had turned yellow. I checked the expiration, it was 4 days later When I called the staff member and told him about it, he smelled every packet, brought a trolley and threw out all the chicken. I'm sure that chicken had been rotting for at least 2 days before it was thrown, and I hope nobody bought it...
Read moreThis location of raba are scammers. Everyday when you go by and they run out of fresh chickens they tell you that they're organic to uosell you although it's exactly the same chicken. It's not listed on their menus organic..then when they give it to you to change the price and tell you it's an organic chicken. False advertising. What of employee the I spoke to said it's exactly the same chicken they just do not to make additional money on their sales . I called them out on it last time and one of the supervisors or managers chased me around saying oh no there are two types of chicken as they felt bad. it's not listed on their menu and the other employee told me it was a scam. The owner should have better respect then allow the scam to go on and someone should complain to raba headquarters if there is such a thing. Enough said I met the owner many times and he's a nice man too bad he allows the...
