My friends and I found this place on Eventbrite while looking for a place to go out, have some fun and get some drinks. This place ended up being our decision because of the cheap drinks they had listed.

I called Wednesday to confirm that we didn’t need to purchase tickets on Eventbrite, and I was told no, just show up.

When we showed up, we started to order drinks. The bartender gave my friend her bill that was way above the price it was supposed to be. I asked “Hey, it’s your Retro event night, correct? Why isn’t this $6?”

She said we must have looked on Eventbrite for this place and told us it was out of date. I said, “Umm no, the event says May 3rd, and clearly lists the drink prices.” She said they don’t do that pricing anymore, and their new pricing is only on select drinks. She asked me if I wanted to speak to the manager, and I said sure cause this was false advertising.

25 minutes goes by, no manager. I went to go ask her at the bar if they were still coming. I waited behind the people who were ordering. When it was my turn, she looked directly at me and walked away. So, I found another bartender and politely asked if the manager was coming as the girl bartender offered to grab him 25 minutes ago. He gave me such an attitude. I was being very polite. He said fine, and I told him I’ll be standing over there by the air hockey table with my friends who were playing. His response was”No, I’m not going to search for you!” I told him, you don’t have to search for me, I’ll be standing at the air hockey table.

The manager eventually came 10 minutes later. I showed him the eventbrite, his response was “This isn’t on our website, so we don’t have to honour the pricing.” I asked him if they created the eventbrite and he said yes, but a long time ago. I said “how? It has this event (today’s date) with the updated poster.” He said they weren’t going to honour it and I said they had to cause it was false advertising and the bar created it. If it was wrong, they need to take it down. We went back and forth for 4 minutes. I eventually just said okay, if you aren’t going to honour it, then we will leave. He still tried to justify his reasoning, and I said “dude, I just said we will leave, why are you still trying to justify this. We are leaving.” Then we left.

Went across the street to Boston Pizza that surprisingly had way cheaper drinks, ate some food, then came back to this place to play air hockey, pool and basketball. Thanks for the free games. It was a shame your bar was almost empty, only had 6 people when we came back. Us 5 could have added more money to your business with food and drinks if you just honoured your Eventbrite that you created!

(The screenshot I included changed to May 10, as when I am writing this, the May 3 event passed, but it happens every...

My experience at this location last night around 11:30 PM was incredibly disappointing, to say the least. My boyfriend and I encountered a series of issues that ruined what should have been a pleasant evening out.

Upon arriving, my boyfriend ordered food at the bar. However, when I returned from the bathroom and we decided to add some drinks to our order, we were informed that we had to pay immediately and place a new order for drinks. We agreed and paid for the food, but from that point on, we were completely disregarded and ignored when we tried to order our drinks.

While I was reviewing the menu, the bartender abruptly took it out of my hands and handed it to another customer nearby. This initial interaction set the tone for the rest of our visit.

Another bartender eventually took our drink order, but despite waiting patiently at the bar, our drinks never arrived. I approached two different employees to inquire about our order and was met with dismissive responses. One employee claimed to be too busy to assist, while another stated she wasn’t responsible for bar service and couldn’t help us.

Meanwhile, every other customer around us seemed to receive their drinks promptly upon ordering. Despite waiting for 20 minutes, we were continually overlooked.

Finally, I managed to catch the attention of the server who had taken our initial order. He informed us that he had indeed placed our drink order but suggested we keep asking the bartender until we received them. He later came next to me and told me I had to “put in a little effort” if I wanted to be served. This advice was frustrating, especially given that two employees behind the bar had already brushed off our attempts to follow up.

When we finally flagged down the bartender, he claimed he had not been informed of our order at all, adding to the confusion and delay. By this point, we were tempted to leave, but we had already paid for our food which had not yet been served.

Throughout our time at the bar, we interacted with a total of four employees, each of whom was notably rude. We were ignored repeatedly, met with eye rolls, and subjected to snarky replies. It was clear that our presence and requests were seen as an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to provide service.

Overall, the service we received here was outstandingly awful. The lack of communication between staff members, coupled with their dismissive attitudes, made for a frustrating and unpleasant dining experience. We left feeling undervalued as customers and unlikely to return...

Had such a bad experience here. So my friend and I went here having heard good things about food and service here.

When we arrived here, we put down our names as there was a waiting list. We were told it would take about 20 mins.. we waited for about 40 mins, while sitting right in front of the front desk. That’s when I asked the lady there on how much more time it would take, she said she called my name already sometime ago (with a whole lot of attitude - strongly suggest to lose that attitude please.) and Ummmm, no you didn’t call out my name at all. My friend and I were waiting and had an ear out for our names throughout since we were so hungry.

Then came time for food. It was another while before we could place our order (staff shortage?). Their slushie machine was broken so most of their non alcoholic beverages weren’t available. They were sweet enough to bring a fruity one though, points to them for that for sure! But other than this, they are ABSOLUTELY NOT flexible with the menu. At a lit of other places, I’ve always requested to replace regular fries with sweet potato fries as part of Frings, and all the other places have always helped me with that. But not Pint, it loves saying no.

Then came the waiting period for food - for fries and soup, it took FOREVER. Our drinks were looooong over (sales strategy to make us buy more drinks??). And what arrived wasn’t good either. I ordered a mushroom soup and sweet potato fries. The fries were good of course (can you even go wrong with it?!), but the soup was really bitter and looked really bad (check images). My friend ordered fish and chips. The coleslaw was just purple cabbage with mayo. We did point out that the coleslaw wasn’t quite that and was in fact very hard too. Their response was “this is our version of it)…. That’s it. Also, I don’t eat non vegetarian, but my friend mentioned that the fish was also bland, very little in portion size and definitely not worth the price (take a look at the picture of it).

All in all, pretty inflexible, love saying no, overpriced. We are definitely never...

Spent an afternoon watching Germany vs. Denmark. The place was packed and full of life. Our service provider never let us do without even though it was quite easy to see how busy they all were. The location next to Roger's Centre and all the other activities was splendid. What a great time.
